Goes to show just how uninformed you are. Nigel Farage didn't write the manifesto and didn't approve it, that's why it was junked.

If Nigel Farage didn't approve it, why did he put his name and face to the forward?

UKIP may be trying hard to disown it's earlier manifesto but the fact is that the people who wrote it are still holding significant roles in the party - well, those of them who haven't disgraced themselves already - and many of its candidates stood on that manifesto in the last general election.

When they publish their new manifesto we'll discuss that but that doesn't mean the policies that they stood on less than five years ago aren't pertinent.

Yes they are when they don't stand by it anymore, anyway we won't have long to wait the new manifesto by the end of the week apparently

You don't think the past policies put forth by the same people are at all relevant to understanding the party and the people behind it? For that matter, don't you think the fact that UKIP are desperately trying to totally disown the manifesto they wrote and stood on under five years is a little bit damning?

As said many times here, i prefer a party that changes it's mind instead of sticking to policies that don't work. It's progressive, where as the Labour part is regressing

I don't know how anyone could vote ukip the cretins that they employ is deplorable. They talk about the first 100 days, we would be on our knees within 10.

summary? i hate lsiotenting to videos, why caqnt we have transcriptions :(

She said the Greens would build 500k new homes, Nick Ferrari asked how much money was set aside, her mind went blank, she had a coughing fit. Then she said £2.7bn, to which Ferrari asked "What are they made of? Plywood?". Sheila take a bow I say.

The LBC interview was cringe worthy

I know people are looking for ulternatives, but I don't understand the appeal of the Green. They're like a 70s throw back.

Because his party did so fantastically last time. Oh wait.

And the same for the Tory's last attempt before that. I think its pretty clear both are too corrupt to be in charge of anything regardless of my personal opinions.

I am however surprised how right wing this site is, I would have expected a more even spread.

Forum's have their culture; the culture here has always tended to the right. People tend to stay on sites that match their own biases so those tendencies tend to persist.

Personally the right wing bias of this site is one of the reasons I come; it's good to get a view from outside the echo chamber.

Looks like UKIP support is experiencing a bit of a reduction. Whether this is good news or bad depends on where those votes are going.

I've been reporting this for some time, it is an obvious trend when you look at the poll averages since last October.

Just don't tell robgum, he prefers individual isolated polls that show UKIP over 20%.

It would have to be a plywood bungalow (also known as shed), and the land would have to be free (and not green belt remember) as they only have £5400 per house at £2.7bn. A more accurate costing would be £50-100bn. All this while giving everyone £72 a week.

The LBC interview was cringe worthy.

I asked on Facebook about the interview*, it seems that among people who favour Green anyway it's had little or no negative impact and is actually being taken positively by some. Since these are the kind of people who's opinion will determine whether the interview impacts the Green's position I think it won't have much effect on their vote.

* - since I know quite a lot of people who are likely to, or considering, voting green.
