Ed Miliband has pledged to scrap the "bedroom tax" on his first day in office:

http://news.sky.com/story/1475759/labour-would-scrap-bedroom-tax-on-day-one

But to hell with that, look at the picture from the article:

That place looks AWESOME, why aren't we building more of these to combat the housing crisis? It looks like something from Thunderbirds! :D

Been there, done it and people found that after a while it was not such a good idea and they have been demolishing them for the past twenty or more years.

Well I am amazed. I guess I have never spotted that you have said you are voting UKIP. Its just whenever I read your posts, I read it as though you are trying to push Labour as the alternative.

I guess I just can't read.

But seriously. All the parties have their bad people. I don't think one party is 'cleaner' than the other.

I don't push Labour as an alternative, I think their policies on immigration and the EU are wrong, wrong, wrong, and their track record with Iraq should be a crime. I do however feel compelled to defend them against what is quite clearly nonsense attacks such as Ed being weak, or that he 'stabbed his brother in the back', or the simplistic attacks on the economy like we saw from those Tory stooges in the QT audience last night.

Not really, they used to be the majority party. Even in the 70's they still held ~30% of Scottish seats. Then the Tories lurched further right and their support dwindled. As Ken Clarke said "The Tories are too right wing......" and Scotland obviously agrees with him.
At the time you had the Tories(going further right), the SNP(centre right), the LibDems(at the time squabbling amongst themselves) so if you voted there was only one party left.
The SNP trick is too position themselves as centre left and take on Labour who went right under Bliar.

This fact can it be reiterated often enough.

the Tories have moved further, and further and further right to now occupy the far right end of the spreturm. Labour has followed to the point where labour is now further right than almost all Tory governments of the 20th century.

The Tories went of far right and lost the Scotland vote.
Labour have gone too far right and have lost the Scotland vote.
The a lib add,s made a deal with the dvil.

So Scotland now has the SNP, the only progressive party that will get serious seats.

Despite the fact I'm voting UKIP at this election and have said so in every single poll in this forum. Maybe the reason I'm always having a go at the Tories is because they're the most deceitful party in this country and we have evidence of wrong-doing right here.

That's absolute BS and you are full of it. The truly deceitful people are Labour and you. With the Tories you know what you are getting, they are ***** and will screw the poor and look after their wealthy chums, they have been true to form each and every time in my life time.

Labour are a bunch of two faced hypocrites of the worst kind. They slate the Tories for being a bunch of rich public school educated toffs, but much of Labour are the same. Milliband does an interview in his modest second kitchen to make himself look poorer than he really is despite being very wealthy himself.

Labour slate tax avoidance yet happily do it themselves, slate public schools and say how great they are going to make state schools yet send their children to public schools. Time and time again, they show themselves to be hypocrites.

They are all scum but Labour are despicably dishonest. They pretend to be a party of the people but they are anything but. Arguing which party is best is like arguing whether you would prefer to have AIDS or Ebola.

Don't forget claiming to represent the working man while shipping in hundreds of thousands (millions?) of unskilled workers ;)

So, Miliband won't do any sort of deal with the SNP even if that hands victory to the Tories. Way to go Ed, your party in Scotland is officially dead.

I'd take that with a pinch of salt personally, it's easy to say that at this stage but when it comes down to the crunch, would he really do that?

As opposed to UKIP who have never held power and when they have hardly ever show up to work (MEPs), who's party tell you what you want to hear and capitalize on dumb peoples fear by spreading BS ideas which will make no difference.

Listen the only thing missing from UKIP's manifesto was the bit about "earning £2000 to £5000 a week, working from home part time".... Absolute rubbish.

I also find it offensive that they use the name UK-IP.... rubbish... Should be called EIP, because not a single **** is given to anyone outside of England.

Thankfully and against the stigmatising, Welsh people havent been too stupid and seen through that poor excuse of a party leader.

Behave.

UKIP polling third in Wales in terms of popular vote, ahead of Plaid Cymru.

I'd rather have AIDs ... i mean Labour, because at least the little man is more the focus and families wont continue to suffer.

Not as many gains as in England.

It absolutely amazes me how anyone in Scotland, NI or Wales would be so utterly retarded to vote for UKIP. He's going to cut funding and due to our population numbers couldn't sustain our economy, which would likely result in us paying 2% more tax....

Waits for the "Yeah but why should you have more bla bla bla".... Just remember yeah we're one country not a divided one. We help this country rise to greatness through our industry, so please go and **** yourself if you think otherwise.

Farage is now the least liked leader according to the latest poll, seems the public woke up, plus he also said he would resign if he didn't get a seat, so it's a bonus that he's also behind in Thanet

Sorry to burst your bubble but UKIP in the UK are on 14%, while UKIP in Wales are on 13%. There's no significant difference lol. Out of interest who are you intending to vote for?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/politics/poll-tracker

Tory last time, Labour 100% this time. The devastation they've cause for people on low income and families is disgusting. I see it every day and it will only get worse under the cons.

In civilized world and country as rich as ours i believe we need a balance between economic stability and protecting our most needy. I agree that people who take advantage need to be dealt with, the amount of propaganda on the TV about people on benefits is quite frankly disgusting.

I strongly believe that labour can continue with austerity measures in more equal and fair way.... It wasn't their fault the downturn happened, they tried to ride the story by investing aka borrowing but it didn't work. CON's didn't fix the economy, everybody knew after the last gen big cuts were coming....

It comes down to imo do you to support a part funded and owned by the elite or a party funded by unions who stand for the working man.

Or you can support a one idea party who are just a nasty selfish version of the cons aka ukip.

So yeah, voting labour.

Yeah, Goon, up here in the valleys, we hate labour and are voting for UKIP.

Yeah it doesn't supprise me to be honest, there's a reason why education levels are so low up there. Enjoy your 2% rise in tax if they ever get in. You've got to be the most stupid person in the world to live in Wales and vote ukip....

Its like an immigrant coming to uk and some how being allowed to vote and uses the vote on ukip haha.

He has to say that otherwise his English support will crumble away in marginal seats. Once the election has run it course the Conservatives will have around 280 seats, Labour 270, 27 Liberal Democrats and the SNP with 59 (best case for the SNP). In this played out there won't be enough Lib Dems for form another coalition of Con/Lib's and there are to many left wing parties that will vote down a Con/Lib budgets and laws to effectively run a minority government. Ed however could get away with it, although he has the smaller party the SNP will be forced to back Labour up everytime and Ed doesn't have to ask for anything.

Trellick Tower. Great example of Brutalist architecture in London.

Money should be equal to al,l not more to the Scotch and less to the English and Welsh.

So why should you have more...

Well... Someones username is right on the money.

What for actually caring and wanting working families to be put first over the rich and multinational businesses?

Or for saying how is with UKIP in Wales. One of its main manifesto points was to cut subsidies to Wales, we can generate enough income tax to support ourselves due to population numbers... Or are you gonna try and call us spongers?
