People of your ilk see the poor as stereotypes, sad that baseless right wing memes influence so many.

Of my ilk? I come from a working class background and my mother ended up a single parent working full time with 4 children. I see the LAZY as stereotypes. The fact that I now earn above the national average wage has nothing to do with how I see the poor, because I know exactly what it's like thank you.

I'm guessing it wont be based upon xbox type.

It might as well be. The officially defined measure of poverty is actually nothing at all to do with poverty but is a measure of inequality. That is why people are no better off when their income becomes poverty plus a pound instead

Seems the statistics for foodbanks are wildy exaggerated, 1.1 million people using them, however that statistic does not take into consideration people use them multiple times. So the real number of "people" is far less.

Also on the Trusseltrust website it seems most people use them because of "benefit delays". Says it all really.

Those statistics are for the banks run by Trussell Trust alone,so far from the whole picture.

No most people don't visit because of benefit delays. Benefit delays are the most common cause, and that's largely because Universal Credit has been a failure.

Yes, it sas it all about the state the Tpries have got the country into.

Someone looses their job through no fault of their own, and now cannot properly feed their children because JSA is too slow to initiate.

And we dare call Britain first world.

Yup you confirmed my thoughts, by your ilk I meant right wing thinkers, you see them as lazy that is exactly what I thought, we had discipline, we worked hard, never smoked or drank and horses were for pulling carts not betting on, well not everybody is as worthy or make the right choices or are as lucky in their parenting or home life.

Hence why we need a citizens income instead. But citizens income policies aren't popular with people who think they are entitled to other peoples money.

Hasn't unemployment come down during the last 5 years?

You couldn't be more wrong, I am all for Social housing, NHS, Job Seekers and all the help people could need to get back on their feet.

The ridiculous rental increases and house prices happened under labour's watch (late 90s and the 00's).

The lack of housing is the fault of everyone who has been in power since the 70s.

Yes.

Now what are we going to do about it?

Finger pointing is possibly the worst thing about Politics. Blame doesn't help anyone. Solutions do. If the parties put as much energy in to finding solutions as they do in coming up with elaborate ways to blame each other for the issues, we'd be in a much better place. TBH the Tory Party are the worst for this, though the rest aren't much better.

It is nothing to do with which government is in power. The dole office has always been slow.

People who refuse to work, or falsely claim sickness shouldn't be enabled by the system to be a drain on society.

I was referring back to your previous post where you admitted seeing them as stereotypes because they were lazy there was a great dichotomy in the two posts.
