General Filament Chat

I believe (though I've not physically checked) that the latest Sunlu spools are designed to take a Bambu refill. I did look a couple of times but never found a Sunlu refill available. Not sure I see how being Bambu refill compatible doesn't directly hurt Sunlu though....unless they're manufacturing the filament for Bambu in the first place.
I can confirmed this, their latest spools (V3) do indeed take Bambu lab refills as Ive done it myself. They also work well in both the AMS lite and the AMS Pro/2 as their spool size has increased slightly to match Bambu

Some nice esun pla+ toughness on Amazon for 15 a 3kg spool. Not great colours but for just testing or if you are going to paint it’s a great deal.

I just picked up 3x Sunlu PLA+ refills that I got from their site for about £9 or something. I've been using their Matte Black PLA for a while and as I previously mentioned, it just works as good as Bambu stuff for me so I'll give these black and white refills a shot.

Keeping an eye out Bambu filament over the next week or so before jumping onto that for other colours.

I am actually considering buying more filament from Sunlu over Bambu at the moment because the latter hasn't got stock of the PETG colours I want to play with. There's some great deals on the Sunlu website but I don't know if those are common.

Also thinking about the Creality Dual Box Space Pi BBQWTF Dryer because I have the bog standard older single spool version, which is fine but I find myself juggling filament spools in it a lot. A dual dryer would help here, it is £72.

Cheers for that. Will hold off that purchase then.
Sunlu already advertising that their Black Friday deals coming soon. I have their s4 dryer which I find works well but I mostly use PLA and PETG. If I were using engineering filaments I’d likely stick with Sunlu also

Although for that purpose the Bambu AMS HT would be a good choice. Not cheap but does hit the temps required. I think there's a Sunlu one that does 4 spools at higher temps though. Naturally released not too long after I'd invested in the S4. The active air venting (get the moisture out the box) and the automatic rotation of the spool are both attractive though.
