I just use the Bambu PLA basic profile, I have not noticed any more stringing than usual. If it's light cobweb strings I just to a very short burst with a mini blow torch (the small kind they use for desserts).

Yeah, do the YOLO calibration, that'll give you a number with which to adjust.

Smooth top surfaces, as in Ironing?
150ms speed, 25% flow rate, 0.18 gap is what I use

I ran this retraction/stringing test and I realise now that the photo isn't the best, but you can still see it stringing at the top.

I'm gonna stick the filament in a dryer and see if that helps.

Drying did help a little bit, it's still not perfect but it is a little better. I guess that could also be random chance too.

Anyone have any suggestions for inexpensive but decent PETG? I'm not sure how much call I'll have for PETG so don't want to spend a fortune.
Jayo seems quite cheap and I believe it's owned by Sunlu, had anyone tried it?

I've used SUNLU PETG almost exclusively for all of my 3D printing in the last 18 months and it's been very good. I've always got it in bundles from Ebay or Aliexpress where it works out to £10 or less per 1kg

Bambu PETG Basic is in their anniversary sale (ends 15th July).

£56.07 for 6x 1kg Refill
£84.95 for 10x 1kg refill

I've exclusively used Bambu filament (and mostly use PETG), so couldn't say whether it's better or worse than other brands, and 37* rolls later not had any issues with it

* That's how much PETG I've ordered since we got the printer back in March :eek:

I'm not even sure if I'll need a while spool so I think buying in bulk would be a waste.

I've had my printer since about march to and I've probably used less than 1 spool of PLA so far. I've no idea how you've gone through 37 spools of anything.

I normally use Elegoo or Deeplee Rapid PETG, whichever is cheaper.

Though did just order a roll of Eryone PETG that was £8.83 on Amazon.
