Given the size of alonso's ego, there is no way that he'd push massa onto the top step.

More likely, if massa won the race, alonso would push him OFF the top step.

Surely the FIA just need to look at a sample of the Massa telemetry for that corner, it will be obvious that way if he lifted or braked differently.

Even if Ferrari claim it wasn't a team order, Massa interpreted it as such. The latter can be proven considering Massa did a 1.19 lap after the order.

Highlt unlikey in the same car. Its pretty obvious had vettel not gifted Massa the lead by concentrating on ramming Alonso into the wall that alonso would have dropped massa by 20 seconds.

Massa had one spell where he was faster for about 3 laps while Alonso regrouped.

Thats not to say I agree with what ferrari just pulled but it wasn't team orders because they never instructed massa to pull over anymore than fuel saving to jenson was team orders not to have another run at hamilton a few gps ago.

That was poorly pulled by ferrari but they cannot penalise alonso because he didn't do anything wrong, well apart from whats in his contract

I don't think it was right, i think Alonso could have beat him on pace anyway. I think Smedly will be suspended next race if Ferrari are punished tbh.

But for the sake of an exciting championship, i hope it is only a fine for Ferrari tbh.

He didn't drive a great race, he just got lucky off the start. Alonso demonstrated he was the faster driver time and time again.

Again thats not to say I agree with the move they just pulled.

What are the penalties for team orders? I don't think I've ever actually seen anyone done for it since the rule came in so not sure what severity of penalty there can be?

There is no way that the radio message can be interpretted as anything other than a coded message hiding a team order..

"So, erm, Alonso is faster than you, can you confirm that you understand?"

It should be investigated, but it wont.
