Ferrari can't just flout the rules like this. They're acting as if they have the FIA in their pocket. I think the leader of the FIA should.... oh wait!

Ferrari have done nothing wrong. At no time was the RESULT of the race altered. This was between drivers of the same team.

And also at no time were clear team orders given

Yet it would be easy to defend that as , "we just checked he heard the message ok"

It would be impossible to prove that meant let him passed anymore than it's possible to prove Mclarens order to Jenson meant whatever you do don't try to pass hamilton again.

We are talking about team orders that visibly affect the race result.

Minor "hold station and save fuel" orders are not on the same spectrum.

Not really because Jenson may well have had enough fuel to have a run at lewis and if lewis responded he may well not have had enough fuel to finish the race.

Just the same as when EJ instructed a faster car to not over take Hill. Has it directly changed the result no, but they still stopped the cars from racing and influenced the outcome of the race.
