They should really add extra laps to the race when they are behind a safety car just waiting for people to unlap themselves...

Yep. But then he wouldn't have done the full race distance.

The rule is for when lapped cars end up 2nd in the train and cause problems. But I'd rather have that than loose 5 laps of racing.

So it seems Lotus got the cherry picked tyres today. I thought they hadnt had a set of those for a while, they seemed to have got a bit slow until now. I wonder who will have them next race?
