Technically I believe they have lowered the requirement to USB 2.0 and the sensor will operate in a lower bandwidth mode.
With the third camera the default recomendation is actually to put one camera on USB 2.0 because the USB controller can get overloaded if all three are running through it. Obviously that's hardware dependant, and if you've shoved an extra USB 3.0 card in and split between them then it's irrelevant.
