Getting into Metal, need some recommendations!

That's kinda how I went... but going back to 1996ish I got into Marilyn Manson and Fear Factory at school..... that was it, a metal head was born I think. Got heavier over time, Papa Roach - Linkin Park - Slipknot - Killswitch - Lamb Of God - The Black Dahlia Murder, Through The Eyes Of the Dead etc
Whatever it is, it HAS to have melody in it, I cant get into this Black Metal stuff like Dimmu Borgir, Cannibal Corpse etc
Another recommendation for Gojira, I haven't got round to buying their stuff yet but I just heard another track of this months Metal Hammer and was well impressed with the heaviness and weirdness of them.

Give Empty about a minute 20 secs before you pass judgement on it, the start ain't so good.
(Ihsahn = Emperor lead singer, Ihsahn = his solo project, best Black Metal vocalist ever tbfh.)
Also ignore the videos on YouTube about Ihsahn being a satanist, that was a long time ago and he said he could never be like that again.
