Ghost of Tsushima - directors cut

Iki island was a fantastic bit of dlc !

Yeah enjoying it so far, I got the monkey armour and its made game so much harder cause I can't do perfect parries as much on PC as I did on PS5 version but when you get them man is it sweet, the horse changes are cool too, gonna be totally different in future when I do a NG+ playthough

Yes. You find a boat that takes you to Iki island. Though it is advisable to complete the mains quest first I think

Yeah it apparently references things you do especially from act 3, but I never actually came across any myself during main story and tales quests

Just come across my first and very frustrating issue. Sound bug where the player sounds have just disappeared, it has coincided with entering the Fort Kaneda. Dosnt seem to matter what I do or change it keeps happening. Seems its a known issue and I've tried all the recommended temporary fixes. I'm just going to put the game on the back burner for now and wait for a patch.:(
Aaand... it happened to me as well. The main game was fine, but once I got to the Iki island dlc, it's unplayable- sound cuts out all the time.
And it is a known issue indeed https://steamcommunity.com/app/2215430/discussions/0/7093810588823813933/ , https://steamcommunity.com/app/2215430/discussions/0/7093810588821813728/

Some temporary workarounds or placebos https://www.reddit.com/r/ghostoftsushima/comments/1cxd8e2/sound_effects_vanishing_pc/
May try some of them out, as some people report this bug dates back to GoT launch on the PS4

I still havnt played it again yet. I was hoping that Patch 3 would have solved it.
Release Notes v1053.3.0604.1051
  • Improvements to address audio cutting out in certain situations.
However, if people are still getting it, I will continue to wait till its fixed.

Steam's downloading a 12Gb patch right now, I'll do some more testing tomorrow. I've had it in offline mode for some reason and may have missed this patch 3

Played Iki Island for a couple of hours tonight and had no issues whatsoever, it was a good patch :)
Cheers for the heads up!!! I'll have to fire it up and give it a go next weekend, would be nice to get stuck back into it. I was really enjoying it up till the sounds dropped out.

Soon (TM).

Got someone gifting it to me, so when that happens I'll be enjoying this as well. played at an expo recently and it just looked so good.

Running great here. Sound issues were sorted with patch 3 and I never noticed the occlusion culling. Maybe it is there, but it certainly does not tick out like a sore thumb. Just a beautiful game, with probably the best lighting and colours of all openworld games that I've played. (I've not played Cyberpunk though :p - it's combat is not my cup of sake )

Hmm now after the patches is it worth reinstalling?

As already said, I've tried all combos of scaling on and off, frame gen, HDR, motion blur, ultra low settings, ultra high, evvvvveeeerything.

It looks 'best' (but still crap) with AA totally off, and looks worst with FSR3. Looks like this but more exagerated and it's only in tree foliage and on certain shadows on rock surfaces: https://www.reddit.com/r/ghostoftsu...has_anyone_else_been_having_this_issue_where/
Easy way to tell if it's just your display or the game by recording in-game footage then uploading it, then recording with your phoen and uploading that. If it shows up on the phone and not the in-game, it's your display. I saw no such issues when I got the game and played at launch before refunding.

Whenever I see posts like this now I just see @mrk and @Nexus18 in my head saying that looks crap and drawing circles all over the place and explaining why the lighting is all wrong :p
