** GIBBO TAKES A 980 G1 FOR A RIDE AND OcUK HAS EXCLUSIVE ON 980 G1 **

Well that's just a kick in the teeth for the customers who have just paid a premium

Why? Some people just moan and moan about everything, the premium was because they were IN STOCK.. The price has dropped because its a PRE ORDER...

Why are some people just so stupid...

Apols for the rant but reading moan after moan just gets you down..

If you don't want to pay the price, don't, simples, done...

Well according to review sites the average DB for the Asus/Gigabyte/MSI are all 39~40DBa under load with the Asus Strix winning on light loads and idle by being completely passive up to 67oc when the fans kick in.

Gotta love Gibbo's straight up honesty. This one of the reasons why I buy from OCUK.

*EDIT* To put things into context, I was referring to the quote below. I didn't realise the thread had jumped 2 pages by the time I refreshed :/

This is indeed correct, our run-rates dictate we can sell 50+ per day, we have less than 50 left and are only stockist and Gigabyte can't ship us more for another week.

As such we'd rather slow the sales. Once they go to pre-order we shall move back to £299 :)

Who's got the best warranty service, should the dreaded happen and I need to RMA it?
Look at my list I did here >> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18231329

The list can be found in the Graphics card section under >> ** Useful links to popular threads and resources **

Gigabyte I would say is the best for turnaround, you can even go direct to them and they are based in the UK, any of the ones highlighted in Green are the best.

OcUK are very good anyway and I'm not just saying that, if it goes beyond 28 days they will sort you out one way or another, many retailers send you on a wild goose chase take that from experience.

I need to alter Inno3D to amber will sort it later.

Although this thread is predominantly about the 980 i just wanted to say thanks to Gibbo. Your involvement on the forum on these cards persuaded me to go from 7850 > 970 :)
