Gibbo

Pfft, I'm the biggest American car hater of them all (just don't see the appeal), but the 'stang is way cooler than a Skyline... dull dull dull.

I don't think a standard Mustang is as cool as a standard Skyline, personally.
Gibbo's was/is a "special" and should be compared to some of the more special Skylines IMHO.

Agreed. You are looking at the R34 Nur to compare imo.. id have the nur lol

TBH, I would also.

Surely the members must agree that the standard Ford Mustang looks nothing special at all.....and certainly not cool?
It's not even perceived that way on its home turf.

Because the CSL does things SO well, it would be very easy to get in to naughty speeds and situations on the roads without realising.

True of almost any car, and very true of the Mustang (Gibbo gave me a lift in it once) - the power and gearing is such that it can get to bonkers speeds in second gear.

It cannot be explained, we cannot help what we like and what we dislike. It's not something technical that is on paper.

You love your car, all the features like heated leather seats, cruise control etc etc are all luxury's of something that you adore. With mine it's the rawness, the handling, the noise, the whole basic-ness of it which just all adds to the car that I adore as well :).

Penski likes rusty old VW's with the right "stance" - cannot be explained, he just likes them. In reality it's all it boils down to....personal preference :)

You wouldn't find a CSL boring if you had the chance to borrow one. You'd also swap your MG for one in a heartbeat (straight swap). Don't say you wouldn't, because you would. Lol

I think Angelina Jolie is a good enough reason to do a lot of things TDS, haha

Ah, you fell into my cunning trap, me lord.

So, in other words, he found something better? ;)
Is AJ the most beautiful woman in the world? I'd say no and I reckon most of the globe would disagree with me.
You get my point though.

HI there

Yes I have the Stang back!

For me I preferre the Mustang, its a far more involving drive, its more fun to drive.

The CSL is one amazing car with its strong point been handling, SMG and refinement. However the CSL makes all too easy work of cornering at extreme speeds. I don't think about booting the CSL I just do it because it just goes with no to little fuss, it coners so well and so easily.

The Mustang is more involving, I can't just boot it without thinking about several things first and when I do its a much more thrilling experience.

Yes the CSL handles better, yes the CSL is more refined (not such a good thing) and yes the CSL SMG is awsome. However the CSL may handle better but actualy corner speed on the Mustang is not much slower if at all but I will find out once we have dryer weather.

I just preferre the drive of the Mustang more, the effort involved, the grin it brings to my face and the fact the modding potential is endless.

Yes I shall be doing more mods..... :D

Hi there

Guy I sold it too was selling.

I was selling mine.

We agreed a straight swap.

Mustang is in same condition as I sold it in except now it bears a private plate - S666 MUS :D :D :D

I've never driven a CSL, only driven the ordinary M3 which didn't impress me all that much however I've got a feeling that I'd love the CSL from what I've read about it.

(the M3 is a great car, no doubt about it but just felt a bit boring, too refined which is why I think I'd like the CSL)
