is this compatability issue isolated and being hyped by lots of worried people or is it an actual common issue with the gigabit boards?

i'm on a budget here man! it's either buy the DS3 and G.Skill NR or wait for more motherboards. God i'm sick of waiting, I was ready to order this morning.

I read over at XS you can use the Corsair XMS2 with the DS3 if you only use 1 stick and just your processor and gfx card to boot up windows.

just got my Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX in my DS3 both sticks in am in bios

I think so

at 3.7 at the moment, but the gf is taking up lots of time at the moment, so I have not had time to really go at it, but I'm going to go for it on Friday, I think, shes out all night

it's running at 8x maximum is 16x i was initialy concerned by this but it turnes out because the card is in effect two cards sli'd it drops the speed to 8x but it's basicly 2x 8x..... according to nvidia anyway. still it's fast as.... well you know how the phrase goes. no overclocking i'm getting 8200 on 3dmk06 and 141000 on my personal favourite aquamark

just a warning i have corsair xms2 6400 and 3 of my 4 sticks dont work i can only run 1gb stable, it was working last night on two but today it only wants to use one?!? go figure?!?

so can anyone tell me if it's lkely that the asus board:
Asus P5B (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-151-AS)
is going to be ok with the g skill RAM? i'm not after overclocking potential, and it's been mentioned in this thread that that board is ok feature wise.

i'm uneasy about ordering unless i know for sure.

oh, and do ocuk deliver on saturdays? i need it not to arrive til next week...
