Too bad the control panel of the audio sucks.
I need too be able too put the Bass down because the subwoofer is too low. My downstairs neighbours don't like heavy basses at 4 in the morning...
Also, the sound is very very loud!
I had too put the sound down too about 10% and put the sound levels in WoW almost too zero to able to open the sound knob on my logitech sound set. (yes, I know that was a crap sentence. Bit difficult to explain in detail).

Anyway, I put my Audigy 2 Value in, and the Vista RC1 drivers are fine for RC2 as well. And I can adjust the Bass levels, and the sound output is normal instead of very very loud.

Running Windows XP Pro again because Vista sucks at Direct X 9 graphics performance.
Using a 7900GTX and getting 20fps or less is crap compared too 60+fps under Windows XP Pro.
damn, i thought there would be a good control panl like there used to be, does that mean i can configure my 8 channel speakers in there, anychance of a print screen?

cheers

I must be missing something:
"newly released BIOS updates"
"GA-965P-DS3 F7 or later"
but i'm not seeing F7 or even a beta on the DS3 list, and they'd better include support for more memory in it, i.e the G.Skill NR

I tossed Vista off again. Some things were weird. Like having 20fps in WoW, but not a single stutter, even at lower then 20fps. Just wanted to have a normal running system, so will check Vista again when it's out.
Even though the fps was low (20fps or so) there wasn't a single stutter. No idea how too explain that.

I only have 2.1 speakers, but as far as I could see you can configure 8 channel speakers as I saw settings for it. Like the screenshots in the motherboard manual.
You can also reconfigure the indiviual ports.

There isn't a F6 for DQ6 for download too at that link.

How do I enable CrossFire on the DS4??

Stelly
I'm trying to figure that out myself.... I think the announcement Gigabyte made was at the time they released the beta version hence why there is no driver or instructions on their website.

I think maybe it will be available with the next bios update....

The F6 bios for the DQ6 and the DS4 should be available in the next few weeks and also the F7 version for the DS3....

I'm thinking this will be the key to unlocking Xfire and also the Quad core stuff!

Right, kinda had that idea myself.
We'll see.

If the F6 only gives quad core and Cross Fire, I will stick too F5.
Not gonna use either of the two anyway.

Be careful with these new BIOS's. I've just flashed F7 for my DS3 and it's messed up my network adaptor. After booting into x64 Vista, Vista reinstalled all my Gigabyte drivers for some reason. And then after rebooting again I lost my net connection. My Marvel adapter now has a '#2' beside it and my network connection is now labeled LAC2. When i re-entered my static IP details, Vista told me that the IP was currently in use by another adapter and would I like to wipe the settings of my now non-existent 'original' adapter. All seems to be working fine now.....

....but on x64 XP I'm losing my connection too. XP didn't reinstall the mobo drivers like Vista did, and my Marvel adapter and LAC are as they were before the BIOS flash, but my net connection was messed up. A Repair solved it.
