Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87

Shouldnt have.

Have you tried it?

first thing I tried because I thought I had switch in single bios but alas I didn't. think the f3 bios added support for haswell refresh and some how gigabyte have locked it so you cant flash back, they have even removed f2 bios from the product download page. I managed to get it from another forum page but it just wont let you flash any previous bios.

There are two switches by the ram slots.

One is single and dual bios mode and the other is a main/backup bios switch.

You cant flash both at the same time as you can only use one at a time.

I know it was in dual bios and main bios at the time and it flashed both one then the other it said this on screen at the time eg flashing main bios then flashing backup bios. some how they made it work like this don't know how or why but its annoyed me something crazy!

I just built a pc for a friend with this board...nice looking board but hated the colour made even worse he had an orange exhaust fan! and the pci-e slot layout not so good having only 1 up the top with a big gfx installed ...its ok he used an old pci soundcard.

Hate green ! :) And the board is slow booting up

Dont think ive ever seen that before.

I have F2, F2a, F3b. F3c, F3d if they might be of any use to you? I'm pretty sure mine didn't flash both at the same time. I've not tried putting an older version on since flashing to this though, I did go from F3* something to F2 though.

Hi Everyone. I have strange and really annoying issue with my g1.sniper z87 rev1.1.

The problem is that whenever i setup bios, i can reboot machine as many times i want and settings will be still there, but soon as i shut down the whole system, after i turn it back on i get message from bios saying that my bios was reseted. I tryed everything. Did update the bios to F3 as board was shipped with F2. I even tried messing around with Dual Bios switches on MB but nothing helped so far. Its like board doesnt have backup battery. I am really confused about this issue. Every cold boot resets the bios. Its not a big deal for me as my machine is runing almost non-stop and i have my settings saved on USB flash drive, but it is really annoying. Any idea will be much appreciated.

Specs:
Intel Core i5-4670K
Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 rev1.1 F3
Avexir Core Series Green 8GB (2x4GB) 2133MHz
Corsair Builder Series CX 500w Modular
Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 120GB
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM

Thanks.

it usually resets to default if theres instability or an oc setting wrong

tried with and without xmp for your memory? and also run memtest86

That was first thing what i tried....Tried everything on stock speeds no OC at all, XMP turned off but still doing same thing. Will try to test memory but i belive that there isnt anything wrong with my rams. Also cmos battery seems to sit in place as it should, but will try to replace it just so i am sure. Thanks for sugestions.

Battery is fine checked with mm. need to find out why display driver crashing all the time 58 times in 48hrs no OC totally stock even doing it with just IE open?????!!!!!
