GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD9 MOTHERBOARD AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER (ARRIVING NEXT WEEK)

Exactly :p

Even if i got given £2000 to spend on a PC i wouldn't know where to start, i'd probably just spend half of it then pocket the rest.

Just.... no, there is no way a reasoned mind can justify forking out for this.

However, that being said it's nice to see top-tier components in stock.

lol ye ocuk lower ya price then people will buy. Prices in this country are just getting worst on pc hardware its a joke now.

I don't buy any pc hardwares stuff now over the last 10 months as I am happy what I got at present. What the point of buying 4 x graphic cards for ? It totally madness and money waste. I going to use my budget for my household this year and next year. Sorry OCUK, will not purchase anything for the next 12 months or more (depend of usa dollars exchange rate and uk VAT)

No sorry, the Gigabyte 870 chipset motherboard, its still not listed on your site, its meant to be due into retailers any day

Sorry off topic but I want one

Gigabyte have had serious delays with the 800 Series but hopefully we'll see stock soon.

Not about us lowering the price, ask Gigabyte and NVIDIA. To support 4-Way SLI they have to pay for the two NF200 chips along with a license. This is the reason that the R3E is cheaper and they're now having to offer an expansion product.

would be nice to get a better audio chip included at that price, but people will buy it and it looks like a nice board, shame my funds wouldnt allow one atm :)

edit, why on earth do they insist on keeping ide, for gods sake if your buying a board of this price and dont have a sata optical whats another £20! and floppy for that matter

Premium enthusiast targeted board in premium price shocker! ;) :p

Exactly. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy the product. The UD9 is going to be a very poor seller - even Gigabyte know this. Their aim was to product a Quad-SLI board out the box and they've done it.

Take the Bugatti Veyron for example - it's more of a marketing exercise for VW than them hoping they'll sell quite a few of them.

Which is all well and good, as long as it's not all you concentrate your efforts on.

They make a huge loss on every Veyron sold. I'd assume it's the other way round for Gigabyte on this one ;)
