**Gigabyte Super OC GTX 480's - VERY LOW PRICES!**

Typical Overclockers - bought the ASUS one about 2 weeks ago and now the GTX480s with the better coolers get reduced in price! :(

Will OcUK let me return the ASUS and give me the Gigabyte?! :D

I don't think it will happen :(

the asus 480 are so hot n loud that there is NO WAY you could OC it withought aftermarket cooling which is not acceptable as you would loose the garentee on the card so WHY ASUS do you include the VOLTAGE TWEEK lol thats just insain lol

is it not 28days return policy so you may be ok !! JUST !!. Tell them the truth that it is ITS TO LOUD and every question they ask say "SORRY CANT HEAR YOU OVER THE ASUS CARD" that should do it hehe Good luck Casdawer heres hopeing they do agree the exchange

What are you on about? I have the voltage maxed at 1.138v and have the core at 870. I load at 77C... Hardly 'NEED' an aftermarket cooler.

the asus gtx 480s dont get that hot lol or very loud, i was running a 5970 which got very hot on auto fan under load easily reached 80c and sounded like a jet taking off, i now have 2 gtx480s which idle at 35c 5970 45c and under load at room temperature 480s reach 72 to 74 and the fans never go high enough to be distracting there more silent than my 5970

Would be tempted by this if I had not bought the Asus card a few weeks back. I mean it looks very nice with the cooling solution and all, but my Asus is a beast and will OC like one when I need it to. No issues with noise/heat esp. as I moved up from a GTX280.

i think the asus 480s are fine £390 for 2 when i paid £550 for the 5970 when it came out wish i never bought it as i was upgrading from a gtx 295 at the time, the 480s are amazing with tessellation were as the 5970s are horrible, glad to be back with nvidia as i have my 3d tv hooked up to these beasts

I'm guessing a corsair tx650w PSU will be ok to power the 480soc and a q6600 GO @3.4.

The psu will provide 52amps over the 12v rail.

100c at load so upped fan to 70% and my pc took off

thats what im saying

I can not speak for everyone else just me BUT i am ibviously the unlucky one then to get a extra hot card

I think you were unlucky. Even overclocked, mine normally only hits 75-80 degrees maxed in a game.

I still wouldnt have minded that gigabyte aftermarket cooler over the standard asus one though  God damn overclockers.
