**Gigabyte Super OC GTX 480's - VERY LOW PRICES!**

My vendor just called me saying that Gigabyte checked my RMA and indeed my 480SOC was found faulty. They say that since this product is still being produced () they're sending me a new revision of GTX480 soc.

The question is: do you know anything about "new 480soc revisions"? Why am I so so so so certain that my new replacement card will be RMA'ed as well...? And if there is a new revision, how can I tell??

haven't heard about the new SOC revisions.
Hopefully you will get a working card this time.

****tylink (citylink) should be around a bit later with my 580 :D

new revision ? doubt it ? perhaps its a 580SOC ? :)

New revision..? Probably the same card with a BIOS/Firmware update...

I've ordered my new PSU so I'll report back when I get it and test the card (probably get it next week, Friday if I'm lucky). I'm starting to think it could be the PSU as it's a dual rail so may not be able to get enough juice to the card. We shall see but the wait is killing me!

pics shall come. Just stuck it in and need to get the drivers sorted out. 1280x whatever is horrid:(

EDIT: Ahhhh, 1920x1080. soooo much better:D
What pics do you guys want? Need a shower so will test in about half an hour.
Sadly this card doesn't have the epic green LED's :( FML

Just gotten around to testing my replacement 480 SOC in Unigine. I noticed the PCB has Rev. 1.1 printed on it but don't recall what was written on the first card.

I have replaced my case with a HAF-X as well and fingers crossed it seems to be performing OK. The temps maxed out at a consistent 78C with a max auto fan speed of 58%, much better than I was experiencing before.

I'm not going to push it too much for too long until I get my replacement PSU.

OCCT results?

I'm not going to go near OCCT until I get the new PSU!

Of course. Anyway, about your rev1.1. Found this review from November 2010. There is a pic of 480soc big enough to zoom in and see that it reads... Revision 1.1.

So unfortunately, revision 1.1 is out there at least since 11/2010... I should have mine replaced by this Saturday. I'll report back.
