Would updating my bios clear my RAID 0 setup in the Bois or would it be left untouched
It will clear everything.Would updating my bios clear my RAID 0 setup in the Bois or would it be left untouched
As I don't use Raid, I don't want to give you bad information, so please wait and see if someone who does actually use it replies to this post, sorry if I've may have given you a bum steerI thought RAID was not affected just wanted to confirm
I have a similar problem, as most with this GiGabyte X570 not responding :
parts all new ( still wanting for my RTX 3080 ( overclockers have me in position 900! ) borrowed 2 new 2080ti cards to keep things moving with my build!
gigabyte x570 Pro
2x RTX 2080ti
Vengeance ram 64BG
Be Quiet Dark pro 4
Kolink continuum 1200 W AMD 5900X ( all pins good not bent )
Fractal Design Define R6 Type-C
1tb & 2tb WD-Black Sn850 NvMe m.2
4GB USB 2.0 memory stick for Qlash
Troubleshooting attempts Correctly names Update on memory stick (gigabyte.bin)
My first attempt
NO CPU - NO GPU - NO RAM connected just 8pin CPU power 12pin motherboard socket check for bent pins, the front panel pins sockets have been installed in the F_Pannel following the guide in the MB manual .
RAN QFLASH Plugged in memory stick into Bios labeled USB port on rear IO with the mb_bios_x570-aorus-pro_f31o flash file RE NAMED to gigabyte.bin. Press the Qflash button all fans spin case cooler fans, PSU fan and chipset heatsink fan; the motherboard flashed once with white led for half a second. The Qflash light then light orange and the (#22) CPU/DRAM/VGA/BOOT leds flashed red on Dram.
This Process lasts for about 2-3 mins maybe 5 I have not timed it, either way I let it run until the led have stop as well as the fans. Unplug the USB then turn the PSU off by it's switch. Turned on power via PSU switch and NOT A FART ! no spinning just that white led flash as mentioned, sometimes this doesn't even happen as I have repeated this process 3 - 4 times each time shorting the Cmos pins and removing the battery to reset MB.
Second attempt
RAN QFLASH - turn off
ON from PSU - 1 stick of ram, one GPU and CPU install - NOTHING MOVING OR SHOWING - I TURN OFF
ON from PSU - one GPU and CPU - NOTHING MOVING OR SHOWING - I TURN OFF
even took out the F_pannle pins hoping to get something on my display - again nothing no movement, no screen UI. Where the hell is my bois?
I CLR_CMOS then repeat all above mb_bios_x570-aorus-pro_f30 flash file - same fail? also the power led glows blue and the Power switch is pinned into but that does not turn my machine on yet?
Need help ;-{
thank for your interest
yes by Crl_Cmos ( back to default ) still no bios? what Bios number would if og ship with. the board version is 1.2

Having done this recently, it sounds like it is going through the update process. Silly question, did you unzip the BIOS file first (not meaning to be patronising) because the file in the zip file is called X570AOMA.31o? I don’t know how fussy it is about the file format but the instructions say it should be GIGABYTE.bin
I just noticed that BIOSes F31(c and o) have both been removed with latest available online being F30 from 09/2020?
Does anyone know of any specific reasons as to why - my experience with F31o has been great for the last 2 days but concerned in case it was pulled because of some kind of issue.

Sorry I do not know the answer but wanted to also raise a question. I have the 5800x on this board with Ryzen Master running. I can only run in PBO mode as when I add Auto OC it causes blue screen WHEA errors. I can put in Auto OC if I minimise the additional MHz to 50/75 making overall CPU run at 4925MHZ. Anything more than that creates the issue. I am wondering (apart from the raw speed being too much for the CPU) what setting is being changed in the BIOS that I can dial back or increase to make this stable. During stress testing CPU could hit 5.0Ghz without issues.I tried running F31o with my 5900X cpu and i think it caused my system to reboot when under load , think the voltage to the cpu was too high , now running on F31q and seems happier !!
Does anyone know what the main differences are between the revision 1 , 1.1 and 1.2 motherboards is ?
edit _ i just read about the thunderbolt header added to the revision 1.1 but still nothing on the 1.2 boards
Hi and welcome to the forums . you could try dropping them a webnote and ask them , be interested in the answer also as i have 4x 8 gig sticks of Trident royal F4-3600C16-8GTRG and on the xmp profile sometimes wont boot.Hello
I want to get this board to pair with a 5950X and a 2x32GB Gskill trident z royal 3600CL16 kit and I want to play around with RAM OC.
The newer revisions of this board have better memory topology, but since it seems to be out of stock with most retailers except OCUK, I'm unsure whether I'll get a rev 1.2 or if OCUK still has some older stock.
Could anyone who's bought the board recently confirm what revision they got?
Cheers
Do you get the 05 or D5 bios code whichever it is when it doesn't boot? I had that problem with my 4x8 sticks. But it seems once it finally boots with the xmp it boots everytime, it's like a initial problem after bios entry for me.Hi and welcome to the forums . you could try dropping them a webnote and ask them , be interested in the answer also as i have 4x 8 gig sticks of Trident royal F4-3600C16-8GTRG and on the xmp profile sometimes wont boot.
edit _ I sent them a web note and asked the question on current stock
