If it has a letter after the number, it means it's a beta version. For example, you might see F40a,b,c,d etc. Until it just says "F40", it's not GA.

I usually update immediately to every new bios but everything is working great atm so will fight the urge and not update.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"... but we're all geeks here, so that mantra means nothing to us, we like to break stuff
. After my last experience however, I will happily wait until GA (and I will always keep a backup of the previous release!)
