He see's him in the Henry mould, someone who can attack off the wing. The problem is that he is too lazy to run the line (or at all in most cases), won't put his foot in, can't beat a man, can't dribble and lacks vision. He's stunk the place out in every game this season and has actually performed worse than Gibson, a feat I didn't think was possible. The fact he's being pushed ahead of Macheda is ridiculous because he actually has attributes to make it and be playing now (and is younger than Welbeck.)

I'd like to see Welbeck make it, of course I would being a Man Utd fan, but the simple fact is that he is a mile away from being developed enough to play at this level any time soon. He doesn't even score for the reserves when he plays. I can't understand why he gets played so often, he's clearly not as advanced as Owen, Rooney or Berbatov, doesn't perform as solidly as Macheda and Diouf has already come in and scored a senior goal and a reserve hat-trick.
And all that and he doesn't look as good as Brandy in the reserves or Campbell who we let go of. It just confuses me now, although now everyone I know and have spoken to off this forum now agree with me that it's time to cut the cord and get rid (although with a buy back fee of course :D.)

I'd like to see Welbeck go out on loan, one so I don't have to watch him mess up practically every attacking move under the pressure of playing for Man Utd and secondly to see how he does playing for a team with lesser aspirations. Put him on loan at Hull or something.
