Glory, glory Leeds United for me please.

well that's it, he doesn't minnd teams making mistakes. it's not like he'll hold it against them, when utd weren't successful for a few years he started supporting chelsea but as soon as they learned from their mistakes and improved he didn't hesitate to take them back again. he doesn't hold grudges.

I just respect him a lot. i can't help that.

You mean he has no passion, patience or understanding of the game?

That would go down to Manchester united being the most successful team in the last 20 years?

How anyone can defend this is quite remarkable.

I don't see your point? He has supported Manchester United for most of the last 20 years, yes. Which makes him a Man Utd fan.

Say you listen to The Beatles 5 days a week, but you listen to The Rolling Stones on a weekend, does that mean you no longer love The Beatles?

how can you say he has no understanding of the game???

how many league titles have teams he's supported won compared to the teams you support?? that's just a crazy arguement.

:D :D :D :D

Someone with half a brain cell please join in this debate.

let me get this straight

I support ONE team and always have

He has supported FOUR teams at least from what I've heard.

Now let's do the math, who has the better chance of their team winning the league? If you support the top 4 team who is in form you pretty much have a 100% chance of supporting the team who wins the league. For that i take my hat off ....

Can i ask you age?

Comparing taste in music to the football team you support has no relation, i'm leaving here for tonight, this is getting painful.

Of course my comparison is totally legitimate. Man Utd are his Beatles, but he's dabbled in The Rolling Stones (Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool), but he keeps coming back to United. Ergo, he's a United fan.

You're fighting a lost cause because you don't sense. You act like he's done something wrong when all he's done is support good football!

I'm 25.

He has, because he's intelligent with his support, he could stick with one club but if he did that where would there incentive be to do better? if clubs know that if they don't perform they're going to lose fans then they'll strive to improve, if they think their fans will stick with them whatever dross they serve up then what's the incentive? there's only about 5million quid difference between coming 1st and 17th in the premiership these days, the moneys there to be made out of the fans not your achievements. he's done more for his clubs than most so called supporters.

maybe you just need to switch of the forums for the night and relax a little. maybe have a little think about why you support your club and whether you'd be doing them more of a favour if you supported someone else for a season or two? i mean you still have time to switch to either united or liverpool depending how you think it's going to end up and you get the joy of watching your club lift the title. in turn if enough fans do the same chelsea wil notice a drop in support and be more likely to work harder at improving.

what about that doesn't make sense to you? it's a win win surely?

don't answer, just sleep on it.

I'll choose to laugh at it.

Loyal supporters = A drop in support? Are you alright up there?

Chelsea had great fans, cue Abromovich, cue poor fans.
