Going on a date tonight for a the first time in a while - Very Nervous..!!

Everyone.. I'm back from the date, it went well. We started out with a few drinks around a table in the cinema complex bar, it was busy but it didn't hinder the conversation. Spent about an hour, hour an half just chatting, nothing heavy just chit chat...

She looked stunning, I complimented her by good but not over the top eye contact and just smiled and said you look very nice, to which she seemed comfortable with this. From then on in, it was a case of pay for all the drinks - :D and she wanted to watch a movie seeing as we were in the cinema complex and then we moved on to a trendy bar /club after the movie...

It was busy, she didn't seem to mind being close to me, we chatted and we made each other laugh and escorted her to a taxi at the end of the night, to which I pre paid the driver £15 so she didn't have to pay and on my way home got a txt saying look forward to an email from me, lets do it again...

Went well... Still sort of sober, sober enough to report back.. Don't think I'll end up in jail, but see how the next date goes - nerves were bad but after the first half hour - nothing to worry about.. And she was a woman to all the doubters out there... Very attractive, and quite tall... !!

This is an equal society we live in. It's give and take.

But I'm glad it went well for you.

Just remember, it's like shopping for Chocolate Digestives. You've had your first digestive, it's good, you paid a reasonable price. You enjoyed. But maybe there's another chocolate digestive out there that's a bit cheaper, but just as tasty. Maybe you could be eating chocolate digestives from two different brands at once. Maybe you can pay a little for a better quality digestive. Maybe you're happy with the same digestive. I think you all know what I'm saying. ;)
 
Tall?? How tall?? like above 6ft or ...., oh dear she not like the tall woman outta ace biggalo is she?? :eek: but seriously well done mate, for a first meeting and first date all in one thats pretty smooth going. :cool:

I think you played it pretty much perfectly. I'm not Rich_L and you held the date more or less how I would have done [unless she was absolutely gagging for it].

I've very much of the school that says don't force anything on the first date - maybe not even kiss. Perhaps I'm old-fashioned like that. The fact that she wants to see you again is the best sign. For me it's always on the second date that things start to happen. If I were you I'd email her today and arrange the next date, don't wait till the beginning of next week.

Yeah that is my problem .. my favourite part of the whole cycle is meeting new people and the dating. Although I'm with a girl at the moment and things have gone fast and well .. so hopefully it will work out ..hehe :)

Well done mate, and good luck with the next date.

i once took this posh girl out. I paid for everything. i did stay round her house twice, but in the end it really wasn't worth it.

I almost asked for a refund.

Next girl i went out with I treated quite differently, and it went a lot better. Tho she wasn't as hot.
 
For a first date you can pay, but I think future dates should be shared out in cost, or you alternate who pays on each subsequent date.

This is the 21st century, women need want to be treated equally. I always have the urge to try and pay for everything as I feel I should. But its bad, you can get abused. The girl shouldn't care either way, and if she does, you don't want to be with her (unless she is hot and sex is likelihood).
