Building a garden range/sim as I'll be switching to a club that doesn't have a range.

Was looking at Forb mat and net enclosure. https://www.networldsports.co.uk/go...riving-range-golf-practice-mat-5ft-x-5ft.html https://www.networldsports.co.uk/golf/golf-nets/forb-proflex-golf-cage.html

But where I'm stuck is between the GarminR10 and Raphsodo MLM2PRO. Would appreciate any feedback from those who have experience with either. It'll just be for the garden and space isn't an issue.

Just any feedback in general on any of the components is appreciated. Trying to make an order by the weekend.

Try your local driving range for any "spare" mats - mate of mine got one for £50 slightly used.

He then built the "cage" from scaffolding poles - and used "archery" netting as it was more heavy duty for a garden incase anything goes through the less dense stuff.

He also bought my R10 garmin from me to use. I liked it, very accurate when put next to Trackman indoors as local sim place. Numbers were within 3-5 yards of each other most of the time. Spin numbers were less accurate on R10 than trackman but £400 v £20k you can deal with that. No MLM useage but heard good things about it as well.

That's the mat I have and its great. No concerns, I turn it around every few weeks, just to wear it evenly.
I've hit around 10k balls on mine, without any noticeable marks on it at all.

For those 2 launch monitors, if its in the garden, both are great I believe. I had the R10 for awhile, but didn't really work inside my garage, so swapped it out. Other than that, though, nothing bad to say about either of those from what I've read.

Think I'm going to do similar in my garden ready for the Summer. Costing me a small fortune in range sessions a week at the moment and it's a good shout asking them if they chuck me an old mat for a few quid.

We've an old hammock arch at the bottom of the garden that would be perfect for hanging a net off.

Club Tuesday Medal yesterday. Happy to have finally improved my tee shots, worked out how to easier shallow the club, hitting some great drives. Overall improvement, went round in 85, net 66! 2 shot handicap cut now

I do but can't do those days as it's my daughters birthday on 22nd then I'm on a night shift the 23rd.
But yes I fancy it.

Alright bud, just convo me with the days that week you can do and I'll see if I can get them off. Would be nice to go round with someone. My bro was up for it but just had a baby. Hard enough justifying to a partner paying £105 for a round at the best of times... :D

I’m sure you’re all aware that the Masters begins tomorrow. Who you think will be wearing the Green Jacket come Sunday? Will Tiger stay fit and be able to play 72 holes? Will Rory make a credible challenge and win his first Masters title?
Scheffler has to be the favourite though, but will he be pushed by the incoming players from LIV.

For me Schauffele has to be worth a punt

I’ve gone for a couple of outside chances mainly due to odds. I’ve had Scheffler who I can see winning it on current form. But my outside chances are Neimann, Clark and Fitzy.

Two ranges near me a top tracer and a trackman range both £10 for 100. They both upped the price just over a year ago when they installed the hardware, not a cheap do anymore but very useful.
