Early season lesson today.... Always just go for a tidy up/check up before season starts proper.
glad I did...
A few bad habits sneaking back into my swing so got some stuff to work on.
Mainly I'm getting to close to the ball again... I have a tendance to get "on top of it" - so he wants me to setup to what feels "normal" to me, and then as part of my pre-shot routine.... move back about 1 or 2 inches. Currently feels like I'm on my toes a bit and "reaching" for the ball but gives me way more room to be less "over the top"
It's interesting watching Ludvig's setup he kind of does the opposite of this, i.e. gets in position with the hands close and then moves the hands and club out before committing, I guess that would mitigate any feeling of being off balance as he's not changing his lower body position.
I tried it that way previously and it was shank-a-rama but it worked better for me doing it your way that your instructor has shown

but got a handicap cut anyway - down to 8.9 now.
I also wanted to try out a potential new putter, Wilson Infinite Buckingham which is a full mallet style whilst my current Wilson Infinite Windy City is a blade and they had them in stock...
I do notice occasionally if I hit a poor one out of the heel/toe that there's no forgiveness, but my last semi-mallet (Spider GT Rollback) with it's insert was very meh, love the look of a blade but kinda want to try a non-insert/milled face mallet

Playing 18 again there tomorrow, similar weather, maybe a touch dryer, fingers crossed I can avoid the bad tee shots and putt better, not too much to ask surely?
