Typical! Shot a great front nine this morning in the monthly medal, +6 gross including two birdies to equal my PB. Even a average back nine would have seen me win my division, bear in mind a couple of weeks back I came back in +2 gross. But no, had to play terribaly on six of the final seven holes to come back in 49 for 91 gross (+3 net).

On the plus side that's the second time I've made two birds in the past three rounds :)

Managed to pick up a bug last weekend so been rough, today was the first round since Monday! Crazy! :p

Society game at Shrivenham, kinda like a bunch of my recent stuff it was 'ok'

My tee shots are decent and my approach was better than at Royal Ascot last Monday, putting is underwhelming and just a few too many errors/'meh' shots.

Shot a 90, 33 points, one pickup. 36 putts on 17 holes so >2 average isn't great. But it was just steady bogey/double-bogey gross really, very mediocre when you're playing off 19.

Really need to get out and practice stuff, guess I've been focussing on driver for a while in what little practice I've done and the rest seems to have slipped away a bit.

18 holes yesterday - mixed bag, 2 doubles, 4 bogies, 4 birdies, 8 pars.

New driver out in the wild for the 1st time - very nice - so much easier to swing and way better with off centre hits.

So that's 6 birdies already in the 50 birdie challenge for 2025..... Sounds like an easy start but course is very short, forward tees etc - will get much harder as we go back to full course/ back tees etc....

Forgot to post these, arrived friday!

well first time out in the net for about 2 months!!! very, very rusty...need to get back into it, as im tempted to get a fitting on the Mizuno JPX 925 irons, but have seen a few deals on the ebay for the 923's..

anyone use a MLM2 Pro?? I updated the firmware on the monitor and the app for Awesome Golf but the numbers seem off?

The spin rates are very, very low and direction seems dubious at times?

im using SpeedSoft balls with the aftermarket "dots", im going to try (hopefully tomorrow) the official Callaway RPT balls and order some more from HotGolf if they make any difference.

Must be a skill issue tbh :p

(I have no helpful information apologies…)

Saw that Golf Bidder had some brand new out of the wrapper Qi10 5 woods on sale for £200. Presumably ex display so handled but not hit. With the offer of a £45 trade in for my old M4 3w, which I was very inconsistent with, it seemed a no brainer to make the switch. Assuming no issues with the trade in on my 3w and including postage the cost to upgrade will be £160. Should make a nice bed fellow to my 7w :)

nice man maths - like it... All gold clubs should be sold in this fashion.

Good day yesterday. First time I've hit 100% of fairways with the big stick. I'm really enjoying the G440. It feels like wherever you hit on the face you get a good ball flight.

Then it was presentation evening and I walked away with 3 trophies and was voted runner up as Mens Player of the Year which was a nice surprise. £165 in pro shop vouchers too. Twas a good night.

managed 9 yesterday, first time on the course this year, been to the range a few times though, played reasonably well and the 5H I got seems like a decent club, full greens but most had tee boxes on mats which is never the best experience. Can't complain though as was a good day for it.
