I still love my Adams Tight Lies hybrid (steel/graphite shafts) as well :D For some reason I feel more sentimental attachment to them than any other club. They just completely changed my iron play when I got them. Same goes for my Scotty Cameron putter.

I really like my Taylor Made RS320i but I'd probably upgrade it to one of the newer models if I was still playing every week. For some reason changing my driver just doesn't feel like as big a deal mentally.

What if I'm still happy with my 17 year old set of Lynx Parrallax? :p

Ooooh are they like similar to mine? :o :)

What's betting - had a great laugh today in the texas scramble and hit the ball superbly well. Guessing that was because no pressure and no scorecard in hand. Even carried the burn @ the 16th which is normally a total no no (265 carry according to skycaddie).

Will go out tomorrow in the Open and play like a numpty!!! Fingers crossed for some more sunshine - makes golf SO much better!

Played today, had a 'mare, just could not get my irons going at all - really frustrating as I swore I had them cracked last week. I think I have got a little robotic again, probably lack of confidence now :(

Also my chipping and putting was atrocious!!!! Really need to find a solid stroke that I can use with confidence. I was either stopping on them or hitting them far too hard (both chips and putts) - complete disaster!!!

That aside, for those of you with an iPhone 4 interested in GPS software, I tried Sonocaddie 2, which allows you 1 free course. Seems pretty accurate and not bad for free tbh :)

Had an atrocious round last week, just couldn't get the ball in the air.

Last night was totally different, i usually play 2-3 shots over per hole, did 9 holes last night with 2 pars and 2 bogeys, very happy indeed :D

When is the right time to upgrade your clubs?

Only had a few rounds of golf and about a dozen sessions on the range, but I have seen some improvement since I started taking lessons, and because I didn't know whether I would like golf and because I know little about which clubs would suit a beginner I purchased a full set of Dunlop Tour Pro TP11 from Sports Direct.

Absolutely love the game, even if it can be a little frustrating, so should I stick with my Dunlops for a year or purchase some irons which will improve my game?

Off to play the Kintyre @ Turnberry tomorrow - all for nothing! (#Bunkered magazine subscription!!)

Normally £135 a round! Looks like nice weather so should be good fun!

Not played golf in over year, miss it big time.

My dad goes every Saturday/Sunday, to a private club so cant go and dont have my own clubs anymore, got my first club at 8. Might go golfing this week on my own on a 9 holer.

I've been going to the local 18 hole course now for a few months and I'm sick of having to rent out a half set of rubbish clubs; I think that it's about time that I invested in some clubs. I don't have a massive budget and I don't think that my skills warrant anything too good.

I've found this set of Wilson Prostaff clubs that can be bought individually in Sports Direct/Golf Warehouse UK for ~£16-40 a club that look to be half decent: http://www.wilson.com/wilson/golf/product2010.jsp?CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198674754148&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302760559&bmLocale=en_GB. Do you think that it would be a decent set of starter clubs?
