You mean 7 iron....That was what he hit last night from there. He had 8 iron but saw Bryson dump it in the water and switched to 7 iron...

Genuinely the best golf shot I've ever seen considering the potential danger tariff of that shot and the point in the round.

Yeah sorry the 7. It was incredible wasn't it.

It was certainly a cracking last round of the masters last night.

Off work this week and the wife has got my week planned out already weather was good today so i managed to fit a round in this afternoon. 104 so still sitting around the 100 mark. My driver wasn’t working for me today at all, kept ballooning it up with a big slice today. After putting one in river, another in some deep rough and one in the woods never to been seen again. I kept that club in the bag.

My 4 hybrid has been an absolute weapon, recently. One of my golf buddies who gave me the club, couldn’t believe how good it has been for me, last Friday when we played. He gave me it after he struggled with it for years and he bought another. My irons and wedges where good today also.

Last night’s excitement has really got me in the mood to be in the gallery at a major golfing event again.

Was at Carnoustie in ‘99 but, oddly enough, most excitement I had was watching Andrew Oldcorn win the 2001 Volvo PGA.

Friend of mine worked for a major golf outfitter and managed to get me hospitality for the final day’s play & I was greenside to watch Andrew sink his winning putt.

Not quite the Masters but exciting, nonetheless, watching somebody reach the pinnacle of his career.

I had £10 on Rory to win, only a £70 return but watching Rory play some of his exciting golf was better value.
With how long the event is and how much can go wrong over an event weekend i always feel that the odds for golf feel too low.
It was amazing to see him win though and even better to get some money off it!

just got this little bad boy to test out at the range, nice and compact, also cheap! might not be the best, but at 160 bucks... worth a shot!

Be interested in seeing what it can do and how accurate it is, if it's garbage at least you can easily send it back, if it works for the price it should be helpful.

Exactly this mate.

Apparently it’s not the best on wedges and chips… but I’m after 8-9 Down yardages anyways, will update once I have had a chance to play around with it..

Hopefully tomorrow..

After a long break due to playing rugby again im looking forward to getting back into some golf this summer.
I feel my flexibility will be much worse though so i will need to work on this.

Had a rubbish round today, shot 82 and started with a bogey and a double on the second after being on the green for a birdie attempt and 3 putting. Can feel myself gradually working towards being able to break 80 consistently.

It's been a long process to get there though, friends recommended I should go for a putter fitting. Anyone had one? I am still using my taylormade Rossa blade that I got second hand years ago.

I got my putter fitted a few years ago and it made the world of difference. Didn't realise all the different variables that had an impact on how you putt.

Absolutely horrible today, both the wind and my golf. Did have three highlights though. Making par on the 600y 5th (SI 1). Then chipping in for birdie from right of the green on the par 3 6th, followed up later in the round by another birdie on 14. Everything else may as well not bothered, 99 gross!

Still, takes me up to 10 birdies for the year. The chase is on @booyaka :p

Edit: Our men's section had a league match at home today. Just read that someone from the opposing team made eagle on the 5th having reached the green with driver, 6i

Got out this afternoon, a complete mixed bag, the front 9 was horrendous it was like I hadn’t played before, slicing, coming of the shank and I managed a 59. The back 9 was a completely different game not great but managed two pars, got my first chip in, a super long putt and scored 50 for a total of 109.

Played Saturday. Tale of different nines. Hit the turn at 4 over gross, 40, with a double at the first and a double on the 8th, both from the center of the fairway. Think the 8th played on my mind a bit, as then took 52 for the back 9, only 2 pars, the rest were mixtures of bogey/double/triple...... Off to Portugal on Saturday for a week of golf in the sunshine, lots of nice courses lined up to play. Off to get the putter regripped beforehand though!

So just got back from Scottsdale Golf in Birmingham.
Top of the bag re-fitted

New Calloway Elyte TD 9deg (heavy weight at front) with Diamana WB 63S Shaft. This combo was simply amazing. The Trackman IO system they use was simply amazing and gave myself all the data I needed. My strike pattern was so so tight it was simply easy to hit. Even when I'm lazy and leave the face slightly open there was no slice at all.

I'd lost faith with my TSR etc and have gained 25y carry over it with this combo
But more importantly the dispersion left to right and front to back was so tight. So much confidence with it

Then have ordered a Calloway Elyte standard 3 wood with Tour AD GC-7 S (4 wood length). This was a cheating stick. Carry from deck 225 and from tee 240

With my driver carrying 270+ now and Hybrid @ 200/210 I have a nice gapping at the top of my bag.

I did then try the Srixon ZXi7 with a graphite shaft (can't remember the shaft) but was a combination of graphite and steel woven together. They were lovely and better strike point than my current T100s.

Quite a special round coming up on Thursday...

Congrats, def on my bucket list one day, looking forward to hearing about your experience on the day!
Well in less than 24 hours since being informed, it might not be happening. Mate has had some bad news regarding his work and is going to be in meetings that he can't miss tomorrow...

I've got in touch to see if we can change the tee time to a different day but I'm not holding out much faith...
