Good SIM Only plans?

Indeed, Raymond Lin pointed this out to me earlier. I travel a fair bit and work will be sending me places in the next year. So this is good to have :)

I think there will be laws in place by next year to make it free on all networks across Europe, the first wave made it cheaper.

^ 3gb data or unlimited data???

I think that means 3gb of tethering and unlimited data for everything else.

Doh I meant text, i was originally on unlimited data but they have been trying to phase it out or just get rid of the old discounts on older contracts.

I'm on the SIMO One plan with Three. It's been great so far.

Little disappointed with their 4G speeds though as before I was getting similar speeds on HSDPA+ due to the fact that Three allow dual-channel connections and I have a Nexus 5 which is capable.

I got a decent cashback deal on Vodafone last year, works out £15 and a get free spotify, along with 8gb 4G. Limited data is annoying but I get 4G everywhere, and free spotify saves me £10 a month.

I've been with Giffgaff a couple of years now and haven't had any issues with them tbh. My only issue at the moment is the pathetic 1GB limit on their 4G trial !

I can see what you're saying. I ran a series of speedtests on mine the other day, H+ was getting me about ~16mb down, whilst 4G i was lucky to get 4mb. However the best i've had on 4G so far is 23.8mb down. Frankly coming from O2 where my H+ (when i was lucky to get a H signal) struggled to get over 1mb down, i'm certainly not going to complain when the H+ speeds are at least 10 times quicker.

And pathetic 4G download speeds too. Almost every time I run speedtest, I get 1 or 2 meg down, and 16 meg up  I'm looking for another supplier where I get a mix of contract (the goodybag) and then PAYG above that, so no possibility whatsoever of big bills. I think I can do something similar with Three pay as you go. You put credit on you account, and buy an "add-on" which is essentially the same as the goodybag, and then when that runs out you start using your credit.

I never recommend giffgaff, in fact I advise against it to anyone that asks.

This spreadsheet is pretty amazing, kept up to date by people from hotukdeals and shows you everything. Only thing I use when I want a new sim only deal.

There's an error in there that I'll report to HUKD:

EE no longer sell T-Mobile 3G SIM Only deals. They can only be bought via a third party below.

This is not the case. The following plans are available for both existing and new T-Mobile subscribers:

Almost forgot to mention, there's also 3 inTouch: http://support.three.co.uk/SRVS/CGI...cat=signal,varset_subcat=3804,Case=obj(13306)

Basically allows you to still call and text, even if you're not in an area with a 3 signal, but connected to a wifi network.

Although this is a bit weird...

Don't know if it's changed because now it only lists:

Three inTouch is available to people with Android version 4.0 or above or iOS 6 or above on their phones, apart from the HTC Desire 500, Samsung Mini S3, Sony Xperia J, iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy Mega and Huawei Ascend P2.

Basically cheap versions of 2 or 3 generation old phones.

If you want to go abroad, I'd seriously recommend having a Three PAYG SIM topped up with £15 credit, converted into a bundle that gives you unlimited internet, lots of texts, lots of minutes.

There's a good chance you're going to one of Three's Feel at Home countries, so you'll get internet, calls, texts at no extra cost.

I'm just leaving giffgaff after 4 odd years as their data speed is shocking for me now.
I've gone to O2 and as a test I did a speed test on giffgaff and then on O2 from the same phone in the same place a couple of minutes apart, H signal.
giffgaff 0.85 down 1.24 up
O2 4.59 down 0.77 up.

Also giffgaff are just about to change their pricing. Unlimited internet will soon cost you £20 if they do it at all.
