Google Chrome

I dont think your looking at the right task manager..

Nope I looked at that one too and it was clearly grouping multiple tabs into sections.

You've only opened 3 tabs. You'll need more than that :p

Ok been using about an hour or so and here are my inital impressions. (just web browsing bear in mind.

FOR

Like the speed
Like the inbuilt spell checker
Like the way you can set several pages to open at once when you first load
Like pulling the tabs outta the window
Like in built task manager
Like the "Inspect Element'

AGAINST

Looks like its written by 6 year olds with 'cool' 'trendy' language
Dislike not being able to press middle mouse button and scroll
On the your most visited page the search box is for your history not a google search box, other wise i'd set that to my home page
When you start typing an address in the address bar the suggestions are awful
The lack of password security
The book mark bar, (not entirly sure why but it really annoys me!!)
The pop up status bar at the bottom

WOULD LIKE

To be able to move the refresh and home buttons around, (after years of having them on the right side of the adress bar its taking a while to adjust)
Better password Security
An Ad blocker would be usful

Also not sure about the loads of processes for tabs thing, (Mine seems to be stuck at 18).
I'll probably try it for a bit longer but can't see it lasting

It look nice but not for me - Im stay with Fx3 and wait for Fx 3.1 due in Jan 2009 and then new Fx4 by between 2010-2011. I dont have problems with Fx3 - it prefect running all way.

I like how the tabs are in the "title bar", saves space. And I like the simple animations on stuff. And I like how unlike FF and opera it actually has some kinda glass effect stuff going on.

Loving it tbh.

Hmmm, am also quietly annoyed. Nothing wrong with Google (except having all your data mined in one place) but it just seems like a complete waste of time and effort. Why didn't they put all that extra effort into making Firefox more imba, seeing as IE8 has just been confirmed as requiring more resources than the entire XP OS.

Somehow I get the feeling this sort of thing *isn't* good for the web...
