Google Chrome

Nope I looked at that one too and it was clearly grouping multiple tabs into sections.

You've only opened 3 tabs. You'll need more than that :p

The behaviour on your machine seems odd, here I have a separate windows process for each different tab (each tab is a different site), plus one which will be the gui manager, killing one process only kills one tab.

How many tabs do you have open though?

middle click for universal scroll doesn't work, and neither does middle clicking the home button to open homepage in a new tab (I know there's a new tab button that does this, but it's what I'm used to doing).

Also, on my firefox bookmarks toolbar, I have a folder for bank account bookmarks. If I middle click that in FF it opens them all in new tabs, not so in Chrome.

it does seem quick though. Right click URL box - Paste & Go option is nice :)

Woo, opened up another 15 tabs (from a selection of random results for a Google search query of "family guy") and got a 9th worker process to spawn :) It's like a little game :p

If the tabs are for the same domain it will use the same process.
I've just tried opening around 15 or so tabs all for websites on different domains and it spawned a process for each of them.

Opening up a load of OcUK links keeps the tabs in the same process.

It's got a spell checker built in and it's even British English for me. :)

I do agree with you about ad blocking plug-ins though. In time, I guess.

So it does. Heh my typing must be that good then ;)

Glad to see I'm not the only one noticing advertising all of a sudden.

You'd think there's an extension for firefox that would put tabs in the title bar.

No middle mouse button drag to scroll - lame.

Like it quite a lot, very fast.

don't like the ability for anyone to look at my passwords. that's a biggy for me.

I hope these problems are addressed along with a "set desktop background" option. I love the speed and simplicity of the whole things but the little things are letting it down.

Roll on the inevitable updates

OMG this is my new favourite browser!!!!

I tried Firefox, slow and bloated as ****.

But this is just amazing, noticeably faster, streamlined interface/nice graphics.

Good job google.

I really like the simple interface and general speed that is runs at, seems stable too. What I miss most is the multitude of ff plugin such as better gmail, rtm, mouse gestures, firebug etc. When extensions such as these start appearing I may seriously consider switching but for the time being I'll be largely sticking with ff3.

Beats IE7 into a cocked hat mind, not that that's hard. Be good if it takes some of IE's market share, which I think it has a reasonable chance of doing as google is probably better known than microsoft.

Anyone remember when microsoft said that IE development was ceasing at v6?
