Google employees given Google Nexus

TBH, if the keyboard is any good (im yet to hold a Milestone) then Android 2.1 on a Milestone would be ideal. But you never know, a well priced Nexus could sway me away from my fondness for physical buttons.

Hardware/software wise it looks pretty decent, but I still think in terms of looks it's always been HTC's mission to make every phone look bland and boring.

Can't see me regretting my iPhone, sorry. :p

Looks nice (esp the camera) but I don't see any killer reason to switch from my iPhone. My sis is an 'average person' and within 3min of playing with my iPhone she wanted one :D

Will be interesting to see what Apple retaliate with in the summer. Hurray to competition, it's about time!

Last review looks good. Im slowly liking the look of Nexus more and more now.

Suprised to hear about the camera side of things, as long as they are half decent than it doesn't matter too much.

Quite exciting to see where Android / Nexus One is heading.

I'm sick of my constantly crashing win mo Omnia i900, can't wait to get my hands on an Android phone.

I'm just waiting on reviews that answer my main question about getting my contacts from outlook over to the phone via usb. I'd prefer not to have to pay for companion link if I can use htc sync or google has finally realised we need to actually sync our data from a pc sometimes :)

The massive bone of contention for me is multitasking. Android does this very poorly, you just cant manage open programmes easily. There is an application that whos you which programmes are open but switching through them isnt possible. When Android sorts this, it will be a far better OS.

Agreed! If you could "ALT+TAB" through open applications it would be fantastic. At the moment if you are in an SMS say, then want to look up Google Maps (or any other app) you have to go to the home screen first then select it (if its on the first screen) otherwise swipe to the right screen and select it.

The N900 absolutely excels at this, but it is a fat pudgy beast of a phone:p.

you could get something like this app although to be honest what you're mentioning is no worse than win mo etc.

The Android on the back with the barcode looks awful and tacky.

I'm hoping theirs an optional plain back as I agree that is a little tacky although it supposedly takes you to a 'snap' card game

The Android on the back looks cool and is different, I'd rather the Android picture than nothing or "with google" written in the middle.

People complain when a HTC phone looks too plain.

People Complain when a HTC phone tried something different.

People suddenly get used to it and say "it's grown on me".

That's HTC phones in a nutshell.

I hope the press thing tomorow confirms when this will be available in the UK. By mid feb and I might get one, any later and its beyond the end of my contract and the HD2 may be my choice.

I'm in the same boat but with the Milestone, if I decide I like the the Nexus One enough then I'll sell the Milestone and buy the Nexus sim free depending on price.
