The 32gb is available from the rainforest in France. HUKD has the deal. With current euro exchange rates the phone is sub 400

Other than delivery time, is there any disadvantages of ordering from france amazon?

I assume the phone is exactly the same, warrenty would be with Motorola etc, once outside the first month, etc.

I've been looking at getting a bigger phone for a week or so now (after the Note 2 I had for 2 years, my Z3c is just too small), but didn't really want to spend much more than £350, £400 I can stretch too though, and the Nexus software updates is a massive plus over going for something like a Note 3 or 4. Was also contemplating the OPO, but my work have just moved to o2 so the 4G won't work (future issue maybe too), and the fact it's from China doesn't sit well with me for customer service if something does go wrong.

Warranty is questionable, as Motorola UK might not support non-UK handsets.

Also you would loss turbo charging, unless you use the plug with a EU adopter.

Decided to order it via amazon france. Not to fussed about the turbo charger to be honest, but can always pick up a converter for emergencies. I tend to charge over night anyway.

Hopefully i'll have no issues and will not need to use the warranty. Never needed to in the past.

I paid in euros as I think it'll work out cheaper (hopefully i'm not wrong), mastercard exchage rate today made it to be £393. Amazon's own exchange to pay in GBP came to £415.

I almost made an impulse purchase of the 64GB white as its currently on sale (amazon.fr) and coming up as £447... cancelled it last minute as I came to my senses.

Hopefully I'll have no issues with the phone. I've not read into potential build issue yet, but if i'm not happy with it, I can also return it to Amazon for a refund.

Ordered the Ultimate Shield temper glass protector, as the one on my Z3c has been great, and a Spigen Case from Amazon Uk.

who would pay for the return postage back to France? Amazon i assume?

also tempted with the N6,

was the screen retention issue on all handsets or a few?

You paid the postage but amazon does refund some of the postage cost, that was my experience.

Had to return a handset. You can't send phones with a battery as its a prohibited good, so took the battery out. I think a paid about £6 via Royal Mail to send it to amazon.de and I got refunded 5 Euros from amazon.

I'm still waiting for mine to be dispatched. My experience of Amazon uk they dispatch and deliver over the weekend, so was hoping the 2-3 days deliver time included the weekend. But my order is still waiting to be dispatched, so maybe it'll be Wednesday now.

Got my case delivered to work this morning (well according to there email anyway I'll find out Monday morning)

did you order the phone yesterday?

Yes, around 1pm. I expected it to be dispatched later the same day to be honest, but I'm still waiting.

cool

mine says:

Not yet shipped
Expected delivery: We need a little more time to give you a good forecast. We will notify you via email when we have an estimated delivery date.

using chrome translator, will see what happens Monday, i doubt they offer Prime services for us in the UK

well I finally rooted my phone and installed cm12 with franco, de-encrypted and added the hosts file

stuck on nova launcher as well

seems a lot better, but damn the camera is shocking

Phone dispatched this morning, expected 18th delivery.

Got my Spigen case this morning, size wise it's just what i wanted.

I've been looking over reviews, and while i'm happy with android 5 (have a nexus 7), and many other aspects of the phone, what kind of battery life do you guys get in general, say screen on time over a single day?

Only reason i ask is because half the reviews are saying that the battery is useless, and then half are saying the battery is great. Is this due to software updates recently helping battery life?

The Techradar review actually states the battery life is better than the Note 4 in there recent test (end of last month). Though most state the Note 4 is slightly better which i would expect to be honest.
