I was getting a more consistent battery life on the Nexus 6, the Note 4 varied much more from lower than the N6 to higher.

I had more confidence that the N6 would give me what I was expecting, the counterpoint to that is you can carry a spare battery on the Note 4 :)

Phone dispatched this morning, expected 18th delivery.

Got my Spigen case this morning, size wise it's just what i wanted.

I've been looking over reviews, and while i'm happy with android 5 (have a nexus 7), and many other aspects of the phone, what kind of battery life do you guys get in general, say screen on time over a single day?

Only reason i ask is because half the reviews are saying that the battery is useless, and then half are saying the battery is great. Is this due to software updates recently helping battery life?

The Techradar review actually states the battery life is better than the Note 4 in there recent test (end of last month). Though most state the Note 4 is slightly better which i would expect to be honest.

great news mate! i cancelled my Nexus 6 order as needed a phone right away, a friend of mine was selling a brand new note 4 so went for it (again lol) and this time sticking with it!

To be honest, if i could have found a Note 4 cheap, i'd have probably opted for that. I even considered getting the Note 3.

Was actually thinking about cancelling my order and getting a LG G2 last night after reading a thread on here stating they were available for £218, then just sticking CM on it or something similar.

have a play with nexus 6, see how it is, if no good return it :)

I had a G2 before the Nexus 6

It's a brilliant phone, if you stick CM12 on it you will be very happy

To be honest, I'm liking the size of the Nexus 6 now (based on the case size anyway). So i'm fairly happy with my purchase, for £395 delivered it's a bargain i feel, especially when you consider the nexus 5 in 32gb is still £300.

It's just a little more than i set out to spend, but hopefully it'll be justified and i'll have it for 2+ years like i did the Note 2.

FYI if people would rather not deal with Amazon FR, CPW have reduced the N6 to £459.

I bought one from there because it's convenient for me to get it delivered to my local store (new office and post is sporadic) and also because I've already returned several phones to Amazon this year and I don't want to take the piddle if I don't like it...

Looks like the cheapest place to get the white one anyway.

Whats the deal with this, i know you get a certain time period having ordered online to return the phone with no charge.

Does this still apply once you've setup the phone and used it for a few days?

Varies between retailer but generally speaking you get 14 days to "try the phone out" because buying online means you can't see the device in the flesh. Some retailers suggest that "trying it out" is just turning it on and using it for a bit, but as most of us know it takes a few days to really get used to a device. I've sent back stuff I've used quite heavily but I was extremely careful during that time with both devices so they could still be sold as new.

as stated above, most do a 14 day cooling off period due to distance selling rule, some online shops will tell you that the phone has to be untouched and unopened for this to work but this is tosh, you can open it, use it and even throw the box away (i wouldnt do this if you can help it!) and still return under the 14 days for a refund

Amazon UK however offer 30 days returns on items sold by them (not market place seller)

im sure Amazon FR are the same but have never personally returned anything back to them.

keep the phone is A1 condition and box etc from day 1 and you should be fine if you want to return it

Thanks for the info, I'm sure i'll be happy with the phone anyway to be honest. I've used big phones in the past and i'm already using android 5 on my Nexus 7.

I'll no doubt be careful with it anyway, I'll be gutted when it eventually gets a little mark on it.

The Carphone warehouse deal must have only been activated today as it was £499 on Friday, I checked pretty much everywhere for a cheap UK seller. I might have been tempted to taken the £65 hit and ordered from them if it was that price to be honest.

I think the price cut happened on Saturday. I nearly picked one up for £499 last week so pleased their shoddy customer service/lack of shop staff prevented me from doing so!

I requested a refund from Motorola and placed the order for the Nexus 6 64GB cloud white on Google Play Store...

1-3 day delivery :)

well after I rooted, decrypted, cm12 and franco'd my N6 this is what happened

gulp!

Had the N6 for a day. I think it's too big, but it's a very nice phone. However, every other phone I use now feels like a postage stamp. My M8 looks tiny, like an iPhone 4 compared with a Galaxy Note. Weird.

Had mine since yesterday too, size is pretty much perfect for me. So glad to be rid of the Z3c, as good as it was, it was just too small for me.

Battery isn't too bad either. i'm at 3.5 hours screen on time after 22 hours and im on 33%, most days i'll only need to be discharging for 18 hours max, so should be good for 5 hours screen on time.

One thing i wasn't aware off was the lack of silent mode in lollipop, but i've installed slider widget, which allows me to switch to silent mode via a simple widget, so that's no longer an issue.

Need to find another screen protector, i made a right mess of putting on the ultimate shield TG. But also not overly happy with the coverage of it, i know the screen curves slightly, but it's miles away from the edge and cheapens the look of the phone. Can anyone recommend an alternative?
