Oh OK, the guide I saw was to change hphr and hphl. Haven't tested it yet so I'll see what that does. Thanks for posting a screenie

Anyone suggest a good app for shooting video that reduces or eliminates the focusing issues......camera refocuses a lot and when pan and move around.

And Xposed has been updated to Alpha 2. Importantly, a permissive kernel is no longer a requirement for it to work.

I have just uploaded alpha2. It fixes several issues:

java.io.IOException: Invalid argument while reading /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/modules.list (sometimes it worked fine after a soft reboot), see https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/25
ClassNotFoundException for system services (e.g. ActivityManagerService) shown in the log, see https://github.com/rovo89/XposedBrid...b429c7a7032afa
Resources-related incompatiblity on newer CM12-based ROMs
Hooks for very simple methods not working, see https://github.com/rovo89/android_art/issues/4
app_process version not displayed in XposedInstaller

I picked up a Nexus 6 last week having completely forgot how good a device it is, dismissing it when it first launched due to its size.

  • Decent camera with OIS and fast f/2.0 lens
  • Front facing speakers
  • AMOLED screen (obv not the best panel out there)
  • Premium feel due to the metal frame
  • Wireless charging

The S6 was looking like the next device to replace my Nexus 5, but I'm still not prepared to move away from stock Android.

I've noticed that the Franco Kernel is pretty popular. Does it improve things much?

I'm still running complete standard, which I didn't expect to be as when i had samsung devices previously i'd flash new roms weekly at some stages.

Also how do you guys deal with the lack of silent mode? I'm using a widget at the minute which kind of works ok, but it's not perfect.

Got my self a nexus 6 last week love the phone got used to the size easy but I've got a problem with the speakers when playing music.. When I play music I have it on full but after 10 seconds of play the sound goes down by its self to almost nothing even though the volume says its full. Any idea's please ??

Struggling, so something I should look into. My phone is stock everything with a few apps like Pocketcasts, Netflix, Evernote etc.

I find I have to click the volume up or down, then select the bell icon on the left to put the phone into silent. As a former iPhone user this is an annoyance.

If you are still on 5.0.1 xposed has a silent mode module.

Franco kernel is great when used with the paid app. Full colour tweaks are awesome as the default display is pretty yellow. Plenty of other features to play with.

I ordered mine from Amazon.fr last month, not had any problems.

As i ordered on a friday it took a few days to get to me though, think it was delivered on the wednesday
