Will do mate, need more time as I'm busier than I'd like to be. Another reason I went Nexus 6 is that cos it's a Nexus and been out a while, the modding scene is thriving.

Cheers looks very handy. are you on 5.1? Is that battery % icon from Franco?

This the correct xda thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/orig-development/kernel-franco-kernel-r1-t2987173

Yes I'm on 5.1 at the moment. If you install the FKupdater app you can flash the kernel from inside (Flashify on playstore is also useful).

Battery percent indicator is a little system tweak, I went for the lazy option and used this app (can uninstall after its toggled) -

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.kroegerama.android4batpercent&hl=en_GB

When Xposed & gravity box works again on 5.1 there are many useful tweaks that can be enabled on the stock rom.

EDIT: the latest Franco kernel only works on 5.1

Thanks again, will get that installed some time today.

Is there any working mods for DPI Control at the moment for 5.1? DPI per app.

Nice, looking at picking up the blue 64GB myself this week (again) :D

You enjoying it so far?

Nice one.

Yeah it's hard not to enjoy it. Love the classy all black front. Much smarter looking than the Samsung with its logo and chrome.

I didn't like the look and colour of the stock dialer and SMS app. So replaced with ExDialer Pro and Textra. Mid grey LP theme.

Battery life seems good to. Mixed use with varying brightness, 2h49m SoT with 49% left. Mainly on mobile data.

I'm a bad influence...

You definitely are! ;) I have ideas of a One, N6 or S6 currently ;)

How is it Kona?

Overall I'm happy with it so far.

What specifics are you after?

Size more than anything mate, I used the phone size comparison tool and it looks massive (I currently use a 4s which is like a childs toy size wise now!).

Battery life I'd be keen to hear about too, as I had a z3 compact for a few days and the battery life on that was stunning! Oh and as a final one if you don't mind - hows the camera?

Thank you

Cheers stoosh. I always like Motorola and now they made a Nexus with OLED and top specs I had to give it a try. And now that Samsung have given up the SD slot and had a poor launch, it was easier to give the Nexus a go.

So far I like it but gotta get used to the size. I'll need a good few days I reckon, still setting it up and haven't changed over yet. All rooted and unlocked + TWRP

All the above plus a reliable Qualcomm SoC makes for a formidable device.
The size is the only obstacle that you will have to get over but no doubt you will given time.

I'm getting used to the size very quickly I have to say. It does look a bit odd in some placed like the vent mount in my car for example. I'm at work tomorrow so I'll let you know what it feels like on a normal work day in use.

The size lends itself to a great experience when using the phone though. Typing feels much better than my 4.8" S3. And clean Lollipop just looks modern and fresh on this beautiful screen.

Battery life today was 5hrs screen time on a full charge with mixed use. I'll update again tomorrow.

Not tested the camera much, so can't really Say. Looking at reviews, the camera is good in daylight, but is an average low light performer.

I did take a video outdoor and while the colours and sharpness seemed decent, the focus was a bit slow and it overshoots.

In other news, I have flashed Franco Kernal and have enabled double tap to wake which is great.

Next is getting that nLED to work will different colours and apps.

EDIT: Came across this good news with the 5.1 update

5.1 seems to have eliminated many of the performance issues with the Nexus 6. When we initially reviewed the device, the Nexus 6 was slower at loading apps and switching tasks than the older Nexus 5 had been. With 5.1, the newer phone feels much snappier; with non-game apps, it can now keep pace with the Nexus 5.

On benchmarks, we're seeing much higher random read and write scores on the Nexus 6 with 5.1; random read gets a 2x speed boost, while random write is a whopping 9x faster. The same dramatic speed boosts aren't present on the Nexus 5, and we suspect the difference is that the Nexus 6 is encrypted while the Nexus 5 is not. According to Francisco Franco, a longtime third-party Android kernel developer, Google is now using NEON instructions on the Nexus 6 to speed up encryption performance. Performance could be further improved by enabling hardware-accelerated encryption, which the Nexus 6 still doesn't use, but Google has been experimenting with the feature in the Android Open Source Project.

You........ have one?

No Mate. My mobile phone buying days are done. The Z3 has stopped that itch.

Sounds great so far kona. Really promising and OIS should help take decent photos in low light definitely not S6 quality but good enough.

Double tap to wake is a handy tool to have for a phone which is quite big though. Getting nLED to work will be the icing on the cake!

You may as well buy a pipe and slippers and resign yourself to an arm chair! You sir - are done!

Z3 compact had epic battery life, but the camera really seemed to suck on the one I had!

You read my mind! I've been to the relevant stores and did just that. I'm chilling in my arm chair blowing smoke rings :D

I think your Z3C was faulty as I had one and it took great pictures and so does the Missus's Z3C.

Are you thinking of jumping on the Nexus 6 train seeing as your iphone screen has gone yellow?

I need a new phone mate, not buying iPhone as I'm sick of its lack of flexibility or ability to even upload to the cloud in the background! I fancy a nexus 6 as the z3 compact is back to full price now and its not the bargain it was at £240.

If you're another vaper I'm seeing too much vaping tonight! I miss it! I just fancied trying a nexus 6. I'd have ordered a n5 but you can't get one new anymore!
