Never tried 5.1.1, but mine was sweet on 5.1 before updating to M. Some apps crash, The camera seems slightly better but I may be wrong. They talk about battery life being improved but its the same really as 5.1 was with the stock kernel, hopefully this will improve with later developer previews.

I've put M on. Only issue I've seen so far is Android Wear crashing all the time. I've turned off notifications for now, we'll see if the app gets an update.

Just ordered one of these from the forest. Ordered it in time to get here tomorrow, went for express shipping. Here is the tracking info:

Tracking Details:
Sunday, 7 December 2014 12:44, Snetterton GB Delivered
Sunday, 7 December 2014 08:43, Snetterton GB Out for delivery
Sunday, 7 December 2014 05:17, Snetterton GB Parcel arrived at a carrier facility
Saturday, 6 December 2014 19:06, Hub 3 - Birmingham GB Parcel received by carrier
Saturday, 6 December 2014 17:45, Oldbury GB Parcel has been handed over to the carrier and is in transit

I ordered it today and it's only just left the warehouse!:eek:

Edit: The outstanding Aashish from Amazon has sorted it (by his typing he was smoking a fair bit of aashish if you ask me). Hitting the yellow 'my orders' still results in it saying delivered but order details and tracking are now correct. I'd thought the driver had gone for an evening lap or two.

Trying to update, my devices is rooted and running customer recovery.

If I do an nandroid back up, and update to 5.1. When I restore userdata, will it just put all of my userdata back on the device over the existing image?

I'm pretty sure there's a delay between pressing the button and when the display actually locks although maybe that's just my horribly slow Moto X 2013. Although I think my OnePlus One does it too

The sound doesn't play until the screen locks, right before whatever animation. Every phone I've had did this to some extent anyway, it does depend on how quick the phone is though. My rooted Galaxy phones have been the quickest IME but I've not owned much else.

Aaahh I get you now. Yes it's slow when you press the button. I have an invisible lock widget which is instant.

How are you updating? OTA?

yep I do. Think its the characteristics.

Do you by any chance get a faint (very faint, but definitely there in a quiet room) static type sound from the top of the phone when you touch an on-screen button that vibrates? I'm wondering if it's the OIS if the camera has it?

I also had a couple of random reboots and a 'play services cannot be installed on your device' when I first switched it on, everything seems to have settled now though.

OK so I think it is the speaker making the static sound. It also makes the beeping sound you get with old speakers when a mobile rings. Anyone got any clues? Really hoping this thing isn't borked. :(

I think I went through Motorola support. Whole thing took around 2 weeks from sending to getting back. Maybe a couple of days less.

I have 03339 997 550 as a number, but I think I had to log it with Motorola first.
