Mine just turned up, very impressed with the build quality and its reassuringly heavy!

What's the general consensus on using DP2 as a daily driver? Worth giving it a bash or stick with stock rooted?

Ok vodafone messed up but it's all sorted now :)

Got this deal
24 month contract
"Free" Nexus 6 32 GB
Unl Calls & Text
8Gb Data
24m Spotify Premium
£30.80/month

Not sure if it's the best deal but I'm pleased :)

Thinking of getting one of these as a secondary media device, what is media playback like? Screen size decent enough for this purpose?

Never owned a Nexus and don't want a 9 so a 6 seems like a compromise.

Superb screen - OLED and high PPI so lovely colours + contrast and super sharp.

Great speakers - Front facing stereo. They go loud and stay clear and have decent depth. Better for movies rather than music.

Thank you, it would be more movies than music to be fair so that would seem spot on.

Anyone else get headphones with there n6 ? Just found some in the box from the one I orded from France. My UK one did not come with a set

I updated my Nexus 6 on 13/08/15 to 5.1.1

Since I updated, I noticed that it keeps rebooting itself.

I've narrowed the issue down to only be when the WiFi is on. When connected to WiFi it works for a short time (maybe 5 mins) but then kicks me from the WiFi, the device freezes then it reboots.

The things that I have tried are as follows:
- manual reboot
- cache clear
- cache partition clear
- started in safe mode (same issue)
- factory reset and restored from back up
- factory reset as a new device

If I turn the WiFi off then it does not reboot and works fine, which isn't really a problem as I have unlimited data allowance but I don't want to be stuck with one that WiFi doesn't work on.

My questions are:

Is there anything else that I can try?

Do you think that it's a software issue rather than a hardware problem?

How long will it be before a new software patch will be available?

Cheers

My second charger has just started buzzing and a high pitched whistling sound. Seems that at least some of these things have major electrical issues as that makes two phones and two chargers that have made strange electrical sounds.

Was that an upgrade/renewal deal? I can't find anything that touches this deal!

Its not an issue as I just unplug then when not on use. The bigger issue is that every video recorded on the phone has a whiting type sound, very faint in the background. It's not obvious with a lot of sound but in a quiet video it's quite clear.

Other than that all is well though. Camera is good otherwise.

So I dropped my phone and cracked my screen :( Google isn't really helping it finding out how I can get it repaired or how much it is going to cost. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Moto will fix it. There's a phone number in this thread from a few months back.
