SoC is what we're talking about, not the rest you just added. This phone has the rest in spades but your discounting purely on the fact that the SoC isn't 64bit. Oooooh, nobody cares because the software is still ages away to make the most of it. And by that time we'll have moved on the the Nexus 6.
We are on a site that sells high end PC components and I have to explain this, seems like common sense to me.

You'd think you'd understand how quickly hardware moves and software doesn't really wouldn't you? For NOW the Nexus 6 appears to be the best Android handset in existence - in 12 months time.. probably not. Crazy this tech stuff isnt it?

The Lack of Notification LED is a MAJOR fail imo!

Adaptive display is all and well but you have to be close to your phone to see the display where i could see the LED from a distance and had set it up so various notifications used different lights.

Cant say im a fan of adaptive display. From what ive seen you can peep at your notification from it and it will take you to the app....from what I've seen there is no dismiss notification option or to delete or reply to things directly from the lockscreen.

It will still be competitive just due to having stock upto date Android. The days of faster hardware meaning much are behind us IMO. The package as a whole means a lot more.

@AlexR

Seems to me that with the Amazon store listing (without pricing), we are still on track for a late October launch in the UK. Seems unlikely Amazon would have a listing for a product not coming for many weeks. Next week should be when it drops.

I doubt it, it needs certain hardware doesn't it?

Need OLED, LCD suck with these sort of tech, its why you will see most iPhones actual spend a lot of battery life on lock screen due to it always turning on.

I hope we don't have a Nexus 4 style Play Store Melt Down!

Doubt it, Nexus 5 went pretty well, I think they have no learnt how to sell stuff finally.
