Stinks of Motorola tbh. The release of the 360 has been a complete joke in every country that its been released in. The lack of information is shocking to say the least.

I think the whole release process as sucked major balls.

Google just farted out some quick hands on, then a long list of app updates and cool videos. A Keynote would have been amazing, I could picture it, start with that joke video about what L stands for, do your typically roundup, play the video of lollipop winning, show us all the new features (of which there are loads), get onto devices show of the awesome new nexus line up (6, 9, player). And then drop some ****ing numbers and dates. Its not even difficult.

Would have got awesome coverage, and everyone would know whats what.

It's been the same with the release of every major Android device. It was even the same back when HTC were releasing Window Phone devices. Just weeks of rumored release dates and lots of calling local stores.

I'm still happy with my Note 3 which I only picked up in the summer but owned a Lumia 1520 for a few weeks a loved the 6" screen. Have been waiting for a 6" Android phone to upgrade to since :)

If there is any delay for the NexSix UK launch beyond this week (and I certainly have no info and hope this is not the case), I do see that Motorola has been super busy in launching phones recently, particularly in the US.

We know the US NexSix launch is later this week with ordering opening up in a few days on Google Play Store. Meanwhile check out this powerful Android phone that Moto is launching shortly on Verizon (US)--the Motorola Droid Turbo. It is based on the Moto X and the NexSix but look particularly at the battery life and camera--Wow!

Let's just wait until later this week before we get too excited about potential delays. It might be a storm in a teacup.

Please let that thing come over here. Its what I wanted as a nexus 5 replacement!

looked at a note 4 today, tbh it's quite hard to get a feel for the size with the stuff attached to the back to stop you stealing the phone so still not really sure.

With the lack of information I wouldn't be surprised if google lose sales to the note 4, if we at least knew price and date we'd know if it was worthwhile waiting or not.

Has this been noticed before now? If you Google the Google Play store, it mentions Nexus 6 in the summary text. But no mention on the store itself:

Getting more excited about the Nexus 6 and Lollipop/Android 5.0 after reading this piece in Ars from the software team at Google. Now more than 7,000 new APIs, up from 5,000 introduced at I/O. The SDK has now dropped ahead of the device giving devs more time to fine tune and get familiar with Material Design. Smart move.

In L, Google unbundled WebView, which they regard as very important to have done. Also to get updates out quicker, Google says: "We've been laying groundwork all over the board to make certain parts of the system potentially into apps, but just groundwork. A significant portion of the lock screens' functionality is now unbundled, at least the security aspects of it."

After a few days of use on the Nexus 6, the Google guys found they were using this device more and their Nexus 7 tablet less for example. And about the 6 inch display screen they say: "I think a surprising amount of people will find that they'll prefer the bigger screen because it's conducive to the tasks they're trying to achieve most of the time."

And a lot more update capabilities in Startup than in previous Nexus phones. Will get updates quicker to users under contract where OEMs and operators would normally be slow to update.

Interesting comments on 64-bit too.

Overall a great read and in-depth interview:

I'm beginning to warm to the idea of a bigger phone. Its my main internet device these days so bigger should be better. It just worries me that it becomes less portable. I mean imagine taking it on the treadmill.

I just too big.

I'm an iphone guy and have been for the last few generations. But I'm at a point where I'm bored of Apple's updates, everything going to the states 10 years before here, and general basic stuff.

So I am considering changing to some form of Android device (note my lack of knowledge). I saw this Nexus 6 and specs look quite tasty.. until I see the god damn size of it. What the actually swear word.

I'm a big bloke, 6'4 and have pretty massive hands, but I think my other half's iPhone 6 (not +) is edging on too big. And this Nexus 6 is BIGGER then the IP6+!

I just do not understand why people like it! Its not a phone, its a small tablet.

They are just cramming specs in and not worrying about the fact people like to use phones with one hand.

Hell, I think I'm going to start my own company up and make phones with i7's and Titans in. By the sounds of it no one will care walking around like this.

I'm gunna make me a ton of money!

If your coming from an iPhone then yes it's big. I had the same issue when looking at the Note 1 when I had a iPhone 4S. That thing was huge. Now I look at the Note 4 and don't see it as such. I have a Nexus 5 currently which used to look big but now it's pretty average.

I use my Nexus a lot. browsing, emails, gaming etc. I'm starting to think too that 6" is the next step for me. I still wanna see one in person though.
