Reports that the Nexus 6 has been delayed in Europe with preorders starting on the 18th November..No reason given as to what's caused the delay.

Nexus 5 went very smoothly, :/ its like they going backwards now.

No it didn't! They had stock issues for months!
Most people had no issues at the start.
Weren't most of the stock issues with the Nexus 4?

If the GSMArena article is true about the delay until 18 November for pre-ordering, and we have no reason to doubt it at this stage, we can speculate about the "delay".
On the US site yesterday, they went out of stock within minutes it seems with sporadic ability to order during the day.
Does anyone recall the delay in the recent launch of the iPhone in September? My recollection was that it was delayed several weeks.
Reading the trade press about the Taiwanese supply chain (and let's face it, most devices are made by Taiwanese suppliers or their Chinese counterparts), there are some shortages particularly in Memory throughout the chain. We are talking about the busiest time of the year for suppliers and OEMs. Samsung, in its quarterly earnings report last night suggested a better fourth quarter, particularly with its intent to go after the Chinese OEMs at the low endwho have been stealing market share. Google traditionally launches the Nexus device into the teeth of this constraint period.
So I am now fully prepared for a launch date of 18 November, but still hope for better news!

^^It's probably true. Clove Blog are stating exactly the same...saying they've got the news direct from Motorola themselves as Cosimo posted earlier.
Gives everyone time to save up then or possibly explore other options such as the Note 4 or even the new Moto Maxx when it's announced on the 5th November.
