Google Pixel 5

Interesting posts. Very useful. I've got to say if the pixel 5 had a telephoto I would have pre ordered it but I still think that is a big miss for me (although I appreciate not everyone shares this view). But at the price it's hard to complain, you can pick one up for 500 notes already on eBay etc.
 
The pixel 5 is a great example of a no frills but sufficiently specced smartphone.

No its not absolutely biased toward being economic, but it has just enough luxuries like full screen oled and 90hz and great camera on top of staples like clean up to date OS, solid battery and reasonable cost.

As a package, especially on discount... It's almost perfect.

On the subject of Samsung and One UI, yes it has improved over time but is still too bloated with its excess of Samsung apps, services and awful sound effects. Samsung have to real niche anymore and its been like that for a while.
 
Does anyone ever get an error where they add an emoji on whatsapp and the arrow disappears off the send button so you cant send it? It also likes the emoji gets clipped like its taking two lines or more, it happens quite frequently to me, I can solve it by going to the multi app view thing and then going back to whatsapp.

I can't say I've seen that before and I'm using it most of the day every day.

I think you're probably right, it strikes a great all round compromise looking at it objectively; it is, apparently, 70% faster single core than my 2XL, and considering also the 90 Hz screen, and the storage is faster, greater amount of RAM, considering I don't find my 2XL particularly slow, I reckon the Pixel 5 must feel a fair bit quicker in real usage. In most respects it's going to be a nice upgrade, and the price isn't bad all things considered. The zoom lens I keep banging on about but in reality how much would I really use it? Getting tempted, especially at 500 notes or below.

I had that once the other day on my 4XL. I rebooted the phone and it was fine, never did it since. I'm on the Whatsapp beta channel if it matters.

What about clicking the keyboard button to the left and then hitting enter?

What do you mean notification, may I ask? I was thinking the other day whilst my phone was sat upright in its wireless charging unit, it could do with a notification LED, if it's on the back it's fine I'll take that as a partial win lol

i meant the notification led app to let you know you have messages etc. i dont like the always on display.
