Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

I'm in dire straights. I want the watch but don't need a phone but I've nearly justified buying the phone too because "it's only £470 on top of the watch for a new phone". Seems bizarre to me that my HTC U11 isn't on the trade list but the One M8 is.

People doing the unidays 10% off, are you actually students or have you found a way to get a code?
Got the code from my Niece who is at Uni.

It's a good thing I am replacing my 4 year old Mate 20 Pro with the Pixel 7 Pro. A lot of wary people in this thread are feeling like this new phone will be rubbish, while I can be fairly confident there will not be a single aspect that isn't a significant upgrade from my current handset.

Old One was Exynos Modem 5123 so its changed which is a good sign. We knew they couldn't keep the last one.

And actually how can it be the modem that was the issue, as its the same one that was in the Galaxy S21 Family...So I reckon it was an antenna issue or something other than physical modem.

Currys/CPW are doing £150 on top of their trade-in prices whilst still being able to claim the watch/buds from Google. I can also use Currys Instant Vouchers to get 6% off.

£8 trade-in for broken 3XL
£150 extra trade-in
£50 for instant vouchers saving
~£100 back from selling the buds/watch

I don't care for the buds or watch but really wouldn't expect to get much £££ back if the usual places get flooded with them. Maybe £100 back; I think the buds, whilst less value, would be easier to sell.

It's tempting, although I'm wary of claiming money back and actually getting it. I'm well overdue a new phone (3XL with broken screen) but a 7 Pro even with a bit of kickback is a big chunk of cheese even if I will likely have it 3/4 years.

That's a really good offer!

This is now very tempting, where can you find the trade in value they offer?

£349 before taking into account whatever I could sell the watch for...but do I want the gamble of being a Guinea pig considering I got very lucky with no issues on my p6 Pro

The carphone warehouse deal with the extra 150 is quite tempting
For trading in a working pixel 2xl, i can get a total of £175 off the 7 pro

I just wish there was some indication of how the modem/antenna and fingerprint sensor are working.
