Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

Despite being completely anti big heavy phones following 2 years with my beloved Pixel 5…. Shineyitis got the better of me and just ordered a 128gb obsidian pro with the matching watch. Sigh!

Whats this one "Currys Instant Vouchers to get 6% off."?

Sorry, it's a perk from work. My workplace gives us a portal a bit like the usual cashback sites with offers from certain retailers. We can buy vouchers or giftcards for x value and get 6% off basically (same for ASDA and some others). Well worth checking if you have access to similar.

Glad I read this thread, I have the 6% perk thingy from work at Currys, seems you can trade in any old broken phone for £1 and get £101 off a Pixel 7. Then the instant sell of the Pixel buds pro to that buy sell place for ~£100 makes the Pixel 7 £363... wasn't going to buy a new phone but this is pretty compelling.

Does anybody know if you can change the handset you submitted for trade in? I just realized I can get £150 even for old iphones (iphone 6) , and I've got a few of them laying around waiting to be binned, so might aswell trade one of them in, and sell my S10 elsewhere as they still seem to trade for close to £200.

update: I spoke to Google and I need to cancel the order and re-order with the new trade in handset.. shame

Anyone got the tl:Dr on if the pixel 7 (or Pro)is much of an upgrade from the 6? From what I could see on spec sheet didn't look like much in it for pixel 6 to 7 other than face unlock

Well the Spigen ThinFit case I ordered has arrived and my S10 with it's Spigen NeoHybrid case on fits comfortably within the 7 Pro case - I knew it would be bigger but still a bit surprised just how much bigger :p

Face unlock, macro mode, autofocus ultrawide, better zoom capabilities thanks to new TPU and other AI smarts. Brighter screens. Better cell reception and battery life hopefully.

Still the same slow ass charging though m

Doubtful. It will be like the Bose headphones on the Pixel 6 else people will buy and then RMA the phone.

Usually you can only submit the free gift claim 14 days after the phone arrives.
What do you mean doubtful.

We all have an email confirmation on Google orders. It's harder this way to RMA as you have to give both back now.

3rd party order is when you claim retrospectively.

It says "Your order will arrive in 1 delivery." and the order process is effectively buying a phone for £849, a watch for £379 and then applying a £379 discount.

I see no reason the watch (or buds) won't dispatch with the phone when ordered direct from Google.

It even says in the t+c that if you order from Google no need to submit a claim. All done at the point of purchase.
