I was considering the same, however isn't the pro bigger? I'd prefer a smaller size.

I think Google do trade ins too? So I could trade my p5 for a discount, and hopefully some preorder bonus too, will make it hard to not get.

Does anyone not get majorly put off by how far the cameras stick out, that really puts me off these phones, despite knowing they're good...
Do you guys just get a case that evens it out at the back? My mates one felt very unbalanced too

I'm not a fan, however I see most people put them in a case, and so the extra camera bar matches the case and then goes unnoticed

I have the 6 at the moment which is already 6.4" the 8 pro is meant to be 6.7 so not a massive jump but will see

It is a big jump from a p5 however. I don't see the advantage of bigger over, but there are downsides

Fair enough, I think I'd struggle with the smaller screen. Just get so used to bigger screen.

I've been waiting for the 8 as I'd like to upgrade my 5 this year but with the price hike you can nearly get 2x pixel 7's for the price of one 8 (Pixel 7 was £365 on rain forest last time I looked). Obviously I don't need two phones but the value proposition of the 7 is hard to overlook .

Agreed. I was looking at the Pixel 8 Pro this year given the flat screen - I don't mind paying that if it includes a storage bump to 256GB - definitely not paying that if it's still on 128GB.
