Google Pixel 9 Series (9/9 Pro/9 Pro XL/9 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 3)

30% offer dead! I snoozed and looozed! Ah well didnt really need to upgrade from the pixel 7 pro was just a case of fomo

I thought the 30% offer still works, it's just the trade in boost which is now gone if that makes a difference.

Got my pixel 9 pro xl today which seems good. Here's hoping fingerprint (and face ID!) and the battery improve on my pixel 6. It doesn't really feel any bigger than my pixel 6 so I'm glad I went for the xl!

Anyone know how much battery is impacted by 120hz mode? It feels very nice!

I got lucky, used the 30% discount and traded a pixel 7a.
Went all out and got the fold...

Also, got the 2tb and 10% back

Was tempted by the 30%, they were offering £500 for my s21U, but £375 mine, which is what they'd prob give.
Still would have been a good price, but didn't do it, never had a pixel phone so prob would have been a nice change.

Got one for my wife, it should be arriving tomorrow.

I'm going to run some software updates on it before setting it up properly, does Android have a facility like iOS where you can stay on the previous version or does it force you to update to the latest if you want the latest patches etc?

No way to turn off system updates that I'm aware of, not sure why you'd want to though.

Anyone find the 9 pro xl quite slippy without the case on? Should have a mous slim one coming today..
Yeah, I was thinking that too for my Pro. A case came yesterday, but Amazon tricked me, switching to the XL when I chose a different colour, so the correct case is coming today. I had thought about going bare back, as I do think it looks great, but being so slippy, I think it's only a matter of time until I drop it...

Not so much to turn it off but is there a option to stay on 14 but to keep having security updates?

iOS currently allows you to stay on 17 if you wish but still releasing security updates for it in the meantime.

No. You'll need to update to 15 for further security updates, 16 when that's out, and so on and so forth. Any reason why you want to stay on an older OS version?
