Google Pixel 9 Series (9/9 Pro/9 Pro XL/9 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 3)

Yeah, I was thinking that too for my Pro. A case came yesterday, but Amazon tricked me, switching to the XL when I chose a different colour, so the correct case is coming today. I had thought about going bare back, as I do think it looks great, but being so slippy, I think it's only a matter of time until I drop it...
Ah I got my mous slim case and seems much easier to hold. It's also impressively slim!

No. You'll need to update to 15 for further security updates, 16 when that's out, and so on and so forth. Any reason why you want to stay on an older OS version?
the reason is that iOS 18 being quite buggy so I’ve gone back to 17.7.1.

I’m quite aware that they will leave it behind eventually and I do plan to update to iOS 18 when it’s less buggy.

Just thinking it maybe the same for Android 14 to 15.

Loving my Pixel 9 Pro but decided to give the 9 Pro Fold a go. Some cracking deals on eBay, picked up a brand new one sealed for £1050 quite the discount on 1749, supplied with receipt from the Google store. There's quite a few around that price form different sellers

It should turn up tomorrow, worse case I will sell it on again if I don't get on with it , just curious to try a foldable

Snagged the 9 Pro Fold for just shy of £900 after 30% off and boosted trade in for my Pixel 5.

Sad to say after 30 minutes it went back in the box and returned to Google.

I thought I'd love a foldable but there's nothing wrong with my Pixel 5 and it was much heavier in the hand than I expected. I also didn't want a device I had to baby for fear of the inner screen breaking.

Interesting and good feedback, I may be of the same observation but thought I would see what I think.

My 9 Pro XL is brilliant but I wanted to give a folding phone a go.

You don't have to baby foldables, I've had three of them now and treat them like any other phone 99% of the time. I even took my Samsung Z Fold 2 to the beach multiple times, same with the OG Pixel Fold and I don't think either of those had any form of dust/debris resistance.

In fact, the Z Fold 2 slipped out of my pocket when I was sat on a high stool at a bar, falling onto a tiled floor. Sure it was closed but nothing happened to the interior screen or hinge.

The other 1% of time is just ensuring you don't leave it unfolded when not in use. Just to ensure nothing drops onto the inner screen.

Exactly the same reason I sent mine back, probably unfounded but I couldn't shake the thought that it would be very easy for me to trap something in between the screens or be a bit heavy handed when closing it and damage the screen

But are you taking your kid to a soft play with the phone in your pocket?

257g versus 151g which could be 300g with a case

Phone insurance is a must. No ifs or buts.
