Google Pixel and Pixel XL

how does this compare to the Note 4??

I really want to upgrade to something... but there is nothing new yet...

Get one plus three. It's as fast as the pixel and a lot cheaper.

Also its a lot different to the ui of touchwiz. I picked the oneplus after sending back the note 7.

I actually prefer the one plus over the note 7 'ignoring the fire incident lol' . :D

Wife's XL - A day and a half off charge, 1hr 8m screen on time. Still 66% left

Its a nice phone, but 5.5" 1080p? nah no thanks

I had a note 7 but I'm glad it went back because I actually prefer the one plus three.

Makes a change from the touchwiz and it is very responsive, it flies .

:D

Out of curiosity, price and all aside. Just purely on the phone and usage, which do you prefer?

Other than the camera and to a much lesser extent the screen. I prefer the OP3.

I've just been comparing an S7E to the OnePlus3 and to be honest I'm not sure why people are raving about the OP3. It can only be in relation to price, as for everything else it's like comparing broccoli to sirloin, with the S7E being the sirloin.

I even have an S7E here on my desk (left over to be given back to EE, Note 7 temp phone). Other than the camera and the screen I much prefer the OP3.

Mate in the nicest way, you seem to have no clue on these phone's.

I've had both and only thing the op3 is better in imo is the speed of the phone (navigating, finger print scanner speed, charging speed) and of course the price

Everything else the s7e is the winner for me.

Each to their own

I do feel some people let the price effect their opinion of what is a good phone. It's quite hard to separate what it has cost you to what it gives you. Price/value surely needs to be just another factor like how good the screen is, how good the battery life is, how good the camera is. We all then base our decisions on what is important to us. The price/value shouldn't be a 'master volume switch' over all the other factors.

I am teetering on ordering a OP3, so I can compare myself. The very brief play I had with a friends, it certainly was impressive. A little OT, but can you walk in to an O2 shop and get one on refresh? (I can't see they do a SIM free option)

I don't agree with your opinion so I must have no clue about phones - well that's an interesting way to debate. Perhaps it's you that prefers broccoli. :p

Shame about the slow updates though :(

OP3 was on O2 PAYG but they seem to have stopped offering it now.

Not really. With Google now introducing updates and new features directly to their apps a new OS is no longer the issue it used to be. In fact when the OS does get updated it's often an anticlimax as the user has already received most of the new features via app updates.

With iOS the entire OS has to be updated but not so with Android.

The camera and screen are the most important bits!
What about battery life?

The camera is on par with the GS6 so more than adequate, and the screen is very good, just not as good as the Pixel/S7E.

Battery gets me through the day no issues. I've had 4-5hrs SOT. OP3.

The wife has had the XL only a few days and the battery life also seems very good, especially on idle.
