Google has lost its way, it all went downhill when it purchased HTC and branded themselves Pixel. They're now releasing midspec products at high-end price point.

I actually don't mind the product and would happily buy one to give myself a good home hub central point in the kitchen, but not at that absurd price, I have no idea who would buy one of these in the UK at £600, you'd have to be bonkers.

amazing. All android tablets now seem high priced or worse than 5 year old one. I need to replace my old samsung tab s2 but its still good other than charge port has broken. I dont want another ipad but its hard not to.

The Galaxy Tab S6 (not the lite one) was the last half decent android tablet

Pixel tablet 2 rumoured for next month.

Hopefully it has added all the missing features and functionality from the first iteration.

Smarter dock at the very very least.

Well that didn’t happen… lol

So I ended up picking up the Porcelain version a couple of weeks ago.

As someone who loves the Pixel line but accepts that he has to live in an iPhone world, this is the sweet spot for me. All the apps I use on my iPad can be found on the Play Store which is why I went this route for my next tablet.

Hub mode is great and have now moved our Nest Hub Max back into the Kitchen and the Tablet now has pride of place in the living room.

Took it away with me for a trip to Spain last week and the fact that I have WhatsApp on there as a companion app meant I didn't need my phone on but could still receive messages. Tremendous stuff.
